Edit Log
1- Number of stages: There will be 8 stages distributed during the year 2022. Every stage does not have a pre-established date. The organisers will try to fix the dates as soon as they can, also according to the actual Covid-19 measures (the number of stages could change due to Covid-19 regulations). It was chosen to have this number of stages to maintain an elevated number of participants through every stage. Bee Mtg does not exclude the possibility to organise other Legacy events during the year.
2- Tournament site: Restaurant Genkineko, Carrer de las Navas de Tolosa 268, 08027 Barcelona (the organisers could change the tournament site during the year). The maximum capacity of the restaurant is 128 customers in normal conditions. Every stage could have a different number of maximum capacity standing to the actual Covid-19 regulations.
3- League standings: The players will sum the points they got in each stage for the final league standings. There will not be a final stage on invitation. The points of the league standings will be the sum of the points of the 7 best results out of the 8 stages of the league. The points for the final standings will include the points a player will get in the top8 as well. This means that top4 will get 3 points, finalist 6 points and the winner 9 points. If the players in the top8 decide to split the prizes, every player will get 3 additional points for the final standings.
4- Team prize: In every stage there will be a prize for the best team. The teams will be of 3 players. The points of the swiss rounds will be summed to determine the winning team. The prize will be decided at the end of the swiss rounds (the points of the top8 will not be summed). If there is a tie between teams, the team with the best classified player will be the winner. It’s not mandatory to be part of a team in order to participate in the tournament, but we encourage you to be part of a team! :-) The team prize consists in vouchers of the shop Asgard Badalona that cooperates with BEE MTG, giving us the opportunity to use the Companion app (very useful to reduce organisation time and to avoid gatherings) and helping in other ways. 5- Cost of participation for each stage: 18 euro. Due to the pandemic situation we ask the players to bring the exact amount to limit the contact with money. There is a possibility that one of the stages will have a higher cost, to try to elevate the level of competition of Legacy in Barcelona and attract players from around Spain and Europe. In this case the change will be communicated before.
6- Detail of the use of the cost of participation: 10 euro for the top8 of the stage; 1.50 euro for the final standings’ prize; 1.50 euro for the team prize; 5 euro for the costs of organisation. The prizes will be in cards.
7- Detail of the prizes for each stage: 9% for top8; 13% for top4; 17% for second; 21% for the winner.
8- Split option for Top8: there will be the possibility of a split at the moment of the announcement of the top8, in which case every player will get 12,5% of the prize pool. In case of a split the players of the top8 will get 3 points each for the final standings.
9- Final standings prize: 25% to the first; 20% to the second; 15% to the third; 12% to the fourth; 10% to the fifth; 8% to the sixth; 6% to the seventh; 4% to the eighth.
9a- In case of a tie in the final standings: the player that played the most stages will be the winner. We want to award the regularity.
9b- In case of another tie: the player with the best final placement in any of the stages will win the tie.
9c- In case of another tie: the player with the most top8 placements in the 8 stages will win the tie.
9d- In case of another tie: the organisers can choose to split the prizes between the tied players.
10- Proxies policy: The Liga Catalana de Legacy 2022 will be played without Proxies
11- Judging: The Liga Catalana de Legacy 2022 will be played with judges and it will be sanctioned with REL regular (this does not imply that the tournaments will be sanctioned). The judges will apply the IPG (infraction procedure guide) as their personal criterion to correct the issues. In agreement with the judges they will apply the rules as if the tournament would be of REL competitive, even though the sanctioning will be Regular.
12- Decklists: Decklists are mandatory and need to be sent through email at the address [email protected] before the start of the first round (better if the day before the tournament). Decklists need to be written in English and attached to the email as PDF. It’s necessary to write the name of the player and of the team, if part of one, on the decklist. It will be possible to be part of a team even if you did not write it on the decklist, as long as you write it on the preregistration sheet or communicate it to the organisers before the start of the first round. Paper decklists will also be accepted in case it was not possible to send them beforehand via email. Cards need to be written in English in an A4 paper. In this case the judges will collect them at the start of round1.
13- Companion: For pairings and standings of the tournaments, to simplify things, we will be using the Companion app, in cooperation with the shop Asgard Badalona. Please install it on your mobile before the day of the tournament and access it with your Wizards account. If you do not have a Wizards account you will need to create one. The day of the tournament a code will be shared and you will need to enter that code in the app before the payment in order to participate in the event. When you will pay we will confirm your participation at the event in the Companion software. Here’s the link to download the app:

14- Lunch Break: in every stage there will be a break of around 1 hour between the third and fourth round so the players can have lunch. We recommend taking advantage of the offers presented by Genkineko Restaurant, with whom we prepared an easy menu for 10 euro to permit the cooks to prepare the food in the time we have. You can find the menu at this link. We kindly ask the participants to select the menu they want beforehands so that we can communicate it to the restaurants and they can prepare. For this reason at the moment of the pre-registration you will also be asked to select your menu. We want this to be not only a competition, but also an occasion to have a good time in a nice environment with people that share the same passion.
15- Covid measures: In order to access the tournament it will be necessary to have a mask. The mask needs to cover your nose and mouth during the whole time unless you are drinking. Every player can call the judge to make the opponent correct the positioning of the mask. Every player will have up to 3 warkings for incorrect positioning of the mask and after that it will be disqualified. We highly recommend FFP2 or FFP3 masks to ensure everyone's safety. There's a pharmacy just in front of the restaurant. We also kindly ask the players that if they do not feel well you do not participate in the event. We all need to act responsibly in order to keep enjoying our passion.

17- Preregistration: In order to pre-register to every stage of the league it will be necessary to insert your name in a dedicated spreadsheet that you can find at this Whatsapp link: https://chat.whatsapp.com/K3YDJSnD2srItrnNT8LKBw
Please write down your name the same way it appears in the Companion app. In accordance with the Covid regulations it might be possible that some players will not be able to participate in the event because of the limited capacity of the restaurant. For this reason we will follow the order of preregistration to give priority. To give the possibility to everyone to participate please communicate it to us beforehand if you were pre-registered and are not able to attend the event.
18- Time: The registration will start at 9:00 AM and the tournament will start at 10:30 AM. We kindly ask to get there beforehand.
19- Results: In order to put this league in an international contest, the top8 decklists will be available in the main websites of Magic the Gathering and in our social pages too.
20- How to get there: The restaurant is very close to the Metro stop Navas on the red line L1. It also is very close to Clot train station. There’s a Bicing spot in front of the restaurant and various spaces to park motorbikes.
21- Car Parking: In the surrounding area there is free parking since the events will be organised on a Saturday. There is also a private parking in front of the restaurant for 3.60 Euro/hour (Parking Navas) that usually has between 7 and 11 free spots (there is a possibility to book the spot by calling them previously). * The organisers have the right to modify the rules during the year in order to ensure the best service to the community. The players will be informed of any change and it will be noted also written down in the edit log.
