The Faculty of Music and Visual Arts at the University of Pécs is the only faculty in Hungary with a comprehensive artistic portfolio, giving it a unique position within higher education in the arts. We offer degree programs in several artistic fields
- fine arts, music, applied arts, media arts, dance, and theatre - as well as in arts education.
Our faculty represents a wide spectrum of both traditional and contemporary forms of art. Surrounded by a broader academic environment, our operation is influenced by the possible connections between art and science. Art and science are indispensable elements of culture and maintain a continuous relationship with each other. We believe in the parallel and reciprocal coexistence of art and science.A cornerstone of our education is the close master-student relationship based on professional and personal collaboration. At the same time, we maintain a constant connection with the ever-changing, experimental, and globally relevant currents of contemporary art. We actively encourage research that explores new and alternative artistic media and the interactions between them.

This is a very special place invitation for a day filled with art. At 11:30 at the exhibition Francisco González Camacho: Elsewhere will open, but the day will continue with another wonderful programme: at 7 pm the “Resonances” exhibition will be presented: selected works by faculty members of the
Faculty of Music and Visual Arts, University of Pécs.
Fields: painting, sculpture, ceramic art, photography, video art, graphic design, fashion design,
and art conservation.
Followed by a concert by József Bazsinka (University of Pécs), Liszt Ferenc Prize-winning tuba
