Florence & Stephan came all the way from the South of France with one thing crystal clear: they wanted to celebrate their wedding in Catalonia.
The place they chose was the stunning Castell de Caramany, hidden among the beautiful landscapes of Girona. It was my first wedding there, and I was completely fascinated. Walking through its stone walls felt like travelling back several centuries.
The ceremony took place in the village church, entirely in French, surrounded by family and friends who had travelled from different corners of France. One of the most emotional moments of the day was seeing Florence get ready under the loving gaze of her grandmother, who later accompanied her down the aisle.
Stephan spent the morning with his twelve closest friends, turning the preparations into quite a challenge, but also into one of the funniest parts of the day.
As the sun went down, everyone gathered for dinner beneath the stars at a long communal table that instantly reminded me of the legendary feasts from Asterix & Obelix, with the castle standing proudly in the background.
