The food scene in Ayamonte was surprisingly good. Inventive tapas restaurants, families en masse dining out in the evenings.

I did a little research and found a French restaurant, I'm all for local cuisine but .. sometimes 😋. It was on a housing estate, but wow when you stepped through the gate.

Fabulous wine, huge portions, I think each dish was made to share, we didn't 🤣.

Lunch at our favourite Lebanese restaurant - Fatoush in the wonderful, lively Barrio de Feria. Always a flavour sensation.

Celebratory meal at La Querencia, with late night rooftop cocktails.

Last night we had a fridge raid tart, with delicious Brevas figs, and Caesar salad with leaves and our first cherry toms from the garden.

Caesar dressing is so easy to make, and hands down beats any shop bought, takes just a couple of mins.

Local restaurant recommendation ⭐

High up in the village of Cutar, a delightful Moroccan restaurant, true authentic flavours, beautiful views, lovely shaded terrace for hot afternoons. We'll definitely be returning.
