Our final work post of the year at La Rosilla 💛
We couldn’t have wished for a better way to close the season than sharing our Mediterranean lifestyle experience with a wonderful visiting group of family and friends from Florida, Thailand and Colombia.

Long conversations, good food, laughter drifting across the terrace, the kind of days that remind us why we do what we do.

Finally, December even treated us kindly, enough winter sunshine for an alfresco lunch, wrapped up warmly in blankets and under our heaters, glasses clinking.

A year full of cooking, hosting, olive harvests, travels for inspiration and welcoming so many of you to our mountain home.

We’re signing off grateful, a little tired, wellness shots in hand ( see stories) and very happy.

Thank you for being part of our La Rosilla story this year.

Now it’s time to rest, reflect, and dream up what’s next.

La Rosilla is nestled on a mountain in our olive grove, it's very rare we get to see it from this view, even when hiking it's hard to spot, but knows where to look and zoomed in.

We've had Fatouch on our To-Go list for sometime
a brilliant little Lebanese spot right in Calle Feria in the Casco Antiguo of Seville.

The street itself feels buzzy and authentic, had a great antiques market on, with local bars, shops, and that cool, lived-in vibe around every corner.

Fatouch was the perfect midday stop, fresh flavours, mezze to share and a relaxed, friendly atmosphere. Unique loo experience 😜 with the sounds of the hustle and bustle of Beirut.

Highly recommend if you’re wandering the area and need a delicious break!

December has started deliciously, enjoying scrumptious plates, alfresco with family,at home and in Málaga.

Popped to Granada for a little pre-Christmas sparkle, strictly for research, of course… wine and tapas research. 😇🍷

We wandered, we nibbled, we sipped, we may have repeated. Granada was glowing, the Rioja was flowing, and we’re now 90% tapa.

Great service and value, our favourite place we had 3 beers, 2 red wine, 1 very large Vermut and tapas of Albóndigas, costillas and ham and mushroom tortilla for 16 EU !!!!

The weather was crisp and clear and the city was surprisingly quiet.

Perfect festive pit stop!

Our olive harvest 2025.

Three days of hand-picking on our mountain at La Rosilla, from the chill of dawn to the golden glow of sunset, fuelled by homemade meals, flasks of coffee, cursing, moaning and plenty of laughter.

Tree by tree, sack by heavy sack our Picual olives and us made their way to the mill, where the magic truly happens.

We’re over the moon to have produced 160 litres of our own organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil this season. Liquid gold from our land, our hands, and our hearts.

Had a full-on Bake-a-thon today! Our annual tradition of whipping up all the festive foodie treats we love, stirring up my Christmas cakes, and stocking up on fuel for Alan and me as we head into an olive-harvesting weekend.

The kitchen’s been buzzing, the house smells amazing, Bring on the olives… lunchtime picnics and afternoon sweet treats ! 😉
