Daily Wellness Shots.

A little ritual I swear by at this time of year. These zingy wellness shots are packed with goodness and make mornings feel instantly brighter.
You’ll need:

Preferably organic, I'm lucky we have our own citrus.

Fresh ginger
Fresh turmeric
Lemons
Oranges
Black pepper
(Everything goes in – yes, including the peel!)

How I make them:
Roughly chop all the ingredients.
Add to a blender and whizz into a thick, vibrant purée.

By using the whole fruit, you get all the fibre too and there's no messy sieving or straining.

Spoon into ice cube trays and freeze.

To serve (daily ritual):
Add 1 frozen cube to a mug
Pour over hot water
Stir in a spoon of local honey
That’s it. Warming, fiery, soothing and just what the body needs.

Tip: The black pepper helps activate the turmeric – don’t skip it!

Using local honey also builds up a resistance to allergies.

Our final work post of the year at La Rosilla 💛
We couldn’t have wished for a better way to close the season than sharing our Mediterranean lifestyle experience with a wonderful visiting group of family and friends from Florida, Thailand and Colombia.

Long conversations, good food, laughter drifting across the terrace, the kind of days that remind us why we do what we do.

Finally, December even treated us kindly, enough winter sunshine for an alfresco lunch, wrapped up warmly in blankets and under our heaters, glasses clinking.

A year full of cooking, hosting, olive harvests, travels for inspiration and welcoming so many of you to our mountain home.

We’re signing off grateful, a little tired, wellness shots in hand ( see stories) and very happy.

Thank you for being part of our La Rosilla story this year.

Now it’s time to rest, reflect, and dream up what’s next.

La Rosilla is nestled on a mountain in our olive grove, it's very rare we get to see it from this view, even when hiking it's hard to spot, but knows where to look and zoomed in.

We've had Fatouch on our To-Go list for sometime
a brilliant little Lebanese spot right in Calle Feria in the Casco Antiguo of Seville.

The street itself feels buzzy and authentic, had a great antiques market on, with local bars, shops, and that cool, lived-in vibe around every corner.

Fatouch was the perfect midday stop, fresh flavours, mezze to share and a relaxed, friendly atmosphere. Unique loo experience 😜 with the sounds of the hustle and bustle of Beirut.

Highly recommend if you’re wandering the area and need a delicious break!
