It's been a while since our lounge has been part, dining room, It takes me right back 😉. This morning the sun was shining, but suddenly the temperature dropped. So A1 removals 🤣 shipped out the sofas, laid the fires and made the lounge cosy.

We welcomed a fabulous group of friends from Michigan for Tapas & Sherry pairing.

We braved the outdoors to cook the main dish, warming around the pan.

My biggest pan 'Paellera' cooks for 100, this pan cooks for 1000's but the story and tradition of it always features in my Paella 🥘/ Arroz experience.

I have large wooden spoons they have oars 😜.

But one thing's for certain it's always one pan cooking is the finest.

Obviously there are rules and Paella Police 😂 who will always judge, but what are rules for ...... ?

For me a pan brings smiles, people together, memories where you first made it and of course 'sobremesa'

I'm grateful I get to be the part of so many intrepid travellers, foodies, families and friends that come to La Rosilla and get a taste of my pan.

A day walking in Antequera in the winter sun is nothing short of magical, a perfect reminder of the beauty that lies so close to home. The crisp, cool air pairs wonderfully with the warm golden rays, casting a soft glow over the town's whitewashed buildings and historic landmarks. Strolling through the narrow cobblestone streets, you're greeted by the sight of grand churches, quaint plazas, and the towering Alcazaba, its ancient walls steeped in history.

As you climb towards the Mirador, the views unfold like a painting—the rolling hills of olive groves and the striking silhouette of La Peña de los Enamorados, standing proud against the blue sky. The quiet hum of daily life blends with the occasional church bell, creating a peaceful atmosphere. A stop for a café con leche in a sunlit square lets you soak it all in, while the locals go about their day with a friendly nod or a smile.

Antequera in winter reminds you of the treasures of Andalucía, a place where history, nature, and simple beauty come together, and it’s right here, just waiting to be explored again and again.
