Before you have doves at your wedding day give this a read. We had no idea and now it makes sense why when we’ve covered weddings at various venues with doves released the doves are still wondering around looking lost weeks later when we return. As beautiful a moment as it seems this is the reality behind it…

Heartbreaking 💔


"The last kiss" - That's how you could title this photo of the two wedding doves, because it will most likely be their last!
Why do you ask yourselves, since the animals are released freely for the nightmare spectacle?
We'll explain it to you briefly:

Wedding doves, white doves or peace doves, whatever you may call them, are raised by breeders only for that one day, to provide a wedding company and a wedding couple an unforgettable spectacle, as a sign of the everlasting loyalty of the bride and groom!
But no one sees the suffering behind it!
First comes the breeding!
By default, this is done in absolute captivity, in small cages and isolation from the outside world!

Until the big day comes and they should serve as a symbol of unsuspecting lovers!
The merciless breeder, who usually already knows about the fate of his pigeons, is of course silent about his greed for profit!
The animals are sold in order to marry the wedding couple just as a sign of their hopefully lasting loyalty into the air and seemingly released in their freedom!
And this is where the real martyrdom begins!

These wonderful and picturesque birds lack something that city pigeons possess: an urban survival instinct!
They are flying away and because of the lack of direction, since previously they were kept only in cages, they will most likely lose themselves and face the beginning of their death battle!

They know no other humans than their breeders, nor the environment or other animals!
The impressions they have now will deeply disturb them, but they remain confidential!
This can be their doom in two ways!
First of all, they approach all people without shame and as you know, pigeons in society are unfortunately still vomiting! This leads to them being injured or even killed by human hands at the worst!
And secondly, they do not recognize the danger when a predator approaches them or. in the big city public transport and thus become light prey or. run over!

Nor do they know the glass facades of the metropolitan jungle and often change after an attack against them!
Also, city pigeons know where to look for food!
No way our wedding doves!
They don't know the food stations merciful citizens provide for them!
They don't know that pigeons find survival food in the garbage too!
And that's exactly why many of them will starve!

Similarly, you don't know where and how to find shelter from the weather and therefore fall victim to bad weather conditions!
Finding suitable places to sleep for the night has never been necessary for them, so these animals can’t do it themselves and are often left behind due to total fatigue!

You can now see that this seemingly harmless and animal-friendly spectacle is actually a game of certain death for these birds!
Therefore abandon this custom!
You should be faithful even without this living symbol if you choose each other!
This shows strength of character and also a heart for these poor animals!
Prove your love for each other daily and also for animals!

Yesterday we celebrated our 12 year wedding anniversary! What a journey….

We met at School at just 12 years old! Oliver was loud and always embarrassed me. I definitely didn’t think he was the man I would marry lol 😂 believe it or not I was actually shy & quiet back then!

So far since our wedding day in Sri Lanka 12 years ago, it’s been quite a journey….

We moved countries 7 years ago, which was extremely hard & we truly fought to make it work here in Spain. Getting established here after 10 years of running our successful UK-based business was not easy, we worked so hard to earn our place & reputation here and are beyond grateful for our wonderful clients, wedding planners, and team of suppliers who have all contributed to making our dream a reality. We really couldn’t have done it without you all 💕☀️

We now have 5 rescue dogs that joined our family and feel so blessed to wake up every day never needing a vacation from the life we built!

Our love has never been stronger! 💕thank you to for the pro photos in this post! The absolute best and our inspiration! Modelling for you was up there as one of our most incredible moments! You captured us so perfectly!

We can’t put into words how much we adore this couple! Congratulations to Orla & Benny. We absolutely loved Orlas idea of doing the first look in Marbella old town before the ceremony in a relaxed environment surrounded by stunning scenery, little streets, potted plants etc, the natural light their is so pretty and made for the most wonderful relaxed fun photos before moving on to the stunning Finca Alamur for the rest of their wedding celebrations. Truly a day to remember! We can’t wait to share the rest of their photos when they are ready. Here are a few previews from their special day 💕

This year we will have a different Xmas set which was as chosen by our customers to create a magical Christmas set (background example attached) for the Christmas photos along with our classic white studio background for a timeless finish for photos that can be enjoyed all year round in your home or make the perfect gift.

As always their is a holding deposit of €20 which can be redeemed on anything purchases from the day.

Their is no pressure as always to buy anything and after your session you will receive your own private gallery to pick your choices in the comfort of your own home.

The shoot will take place at our home in Estepona (location will be shared upon booking).
