How not to dread the first dance...
First dances are definitely pain points for couples but they don't have to be. Make a note of these 4 top tips so you enjoy every moment, and love your photos!
* Pick a fun song you both love. First dances don't have to be slow and boring.
* Get your bridesmaids and ushers on the case... 30 seconds in they need to round everyone up to join you on the dancefloor.
* Move around your group and have a twirl with everyone, especially parents and wedding party.
* Enjoy yourselves!

Why do brides have to make all the wedding decisions?
I've heard 100s of speeches. Grooms and groomsmen who stand up, thank the bride and admit to all round chuckling that they've had zero input into their wedding.
But why is this?
Isn't it a lot for one person to have to take on?
I did a little research (thank you Reddit) and saw that it wasn't always the grooms who weren't interested or had just assumed it was all down to the bride.

Getting ready, with help from all the family 💖
Bridal prep can be chaotic, but that doesn't have to be the case.
Keep in mind the following to ensure amazing photos and footage, and much less stress for you 😊
📸 Assign tasks. If you have a few bridesmaids they can definitely lend a hand. Before your photographer arrives see if a couple of them can tidy up a bit. Big suitcases, anything non-wedding and those tubes of Pringles can all go!
📸 Make some playlists. Upbeat music is key to a fun time and will guarantee great photos of smiling faces and a relaxed bride to be.
📸 Get the venue bag ready the day before. Things to include are: flat shoes/flip flops, sun cream, matt powder, lip gloss, perfume, stain remover (you never know)
📸 Bring hair grips and small scissors. If the dress has buttons up the back then it will usually have those tiny elastic loops to pull over them. Save your nails by using a hair grip for this. There are also a surprising amount of dress tassles and labels to cut off.
📸 Lay important things out in advance. These are the details you'll want in your album so it's nice to have this all organised ahead of time in case anything essential gets missed.

This was the first wedding of the 2024 Ibiza season at Elixir!
And what a lovely one to get going with 📸
Sam & Dylan were looking for a fun and relaxed day spent with their closest family and friends, and although they wanted some lovely photos to remember the occasion, they didn’t want to spend too much time away from their guests.
This year I have introduced a more flexible way of working. Now couples can choose how much time they would like with me, depending on their day and how they feel about being in front of the camera.
Sam & Dylan went with the 3 hour option which at Elixir covers the following:

👉Venue & decor details before the guests arrive.
👉Guests arrival
👉Photos with the groom, family and friends.
👉Bride's arrival.
👉Ceremony
👉Candid photos of drinks afterwards
👉Portrait/Group shots decided with the couple previously.
👉Relaxed couple shoot around the venue.

Elixir has so many lovely spots for photos and we also had the gorgeous white Rolls Royce to use as a backdrop ♥
Average amount of images to deliver is 300. These are all presented via an online gallery space which couples can freely download from and share. It’s all really easy 🙂 This preview gallery was ready in 3 days.
Of course, you can opt for more time if you would like it. On average couples book 5 hours which covers everything from guests arrival and also includes those amazing sunset shots on the beach. The day is then topped off by the first dance and the start of the party.
