Oh boy was Denise and Darren’s wedding ceremony in full bloom today, in all senses! It has been such a joy to plan and create their ceremony for them and to see it come alive today in such a beautiful way.
🌸 They had hilarious flower men who came down the aisle to Bootilicious by Destiny’s Child!
🌸 They has the most gorgeous handfasting using their grandmothers scarves and broach
🌸 Their love story was fabulous and funny!

@lucybrowncelebrant has got her first group sing-a-long this summer and it’s got me feeling all the feels ie a tiny bit jealous! Ha!
Pre pandemic so many of my couples had a group song during the ceremony and it was always such a fabulous way of bringing everyone together and lifting the vibe. And also my one chance to let my inner Beyonce shine. 🤷🏾♀️

It’s day 4 of World Celebrants Week and today we’re talking all about favourite ceremonies.
I've got a gazillion favourite ceremonies, because every ceremony is my favourite! But I thought I'd share a summary of what makes my favourite ceremonies, my favourite ceremonies, and a video of me being silly at a wedding this summer, just because!
❤️Outdoor and in nature - I am so lucky that most of my ceremonies take place outside. Surrounded by trees, blue skies and sunshine. In meadows and stunning gardens. Nature brings magic to ceremonies, I swear.
❤️Small groups - my favourite ceremonies tend to
have less than 20 people, at a push 30. That's not to say I don't love big weddings, I sure do! But my favourite are the small, cosy, intimate ones.
❤️Raw, spontaneous emotions - my fave ceremonies are where people, the couple included, feel comfortable enough to just feel how they feel and are visible with their joy, happiness, sadness, love. That they are totally comfortable in themselves.
❤️Vocal guests - I'm not talking about hecklers, although I do love a bit of heckling and banter, but my fave weddings are where guests feel relaxed, at home, welcome and happy to vocally support their people with unbridled whoops and cheers. I love it. It can really lift the mood of an entire ceremony and make the couple feel wrapped in love and truly celebrated.
❤️Group sing-a-longs - I am the self-proclaimed Beyoncé of the wedding world. I may not be able to actually sing but my enthusiasm is unmatched and I love love love getting everyone into the spirit and power of communal song.
I could go on, but these are the 5 big ones that really do it for me.
But to be fair, all of my ceremonies are AWESOME! So favourite or not, I still have the best job in the world and get to meet the most fabulous couples!
