🧙🏻‍♂️Maestro Shaman Noe Lopez often says, “Do or do not, there is no try,” without ever having watched Star Wars 🙂 He vividly recalls his grandfather telling him this phrase deep in the Amazon almost 40 years ago, in response to Noe’s declaration that he would try to commit to the path of a Shipibo healer.

It always amazes us how the wisdom of past generations continues in our maestros. Speaking with them is like peering into a pool of time, diving deep into the history of strong-hearted Amazonians who introduced Ayahuasca to the world.

This June, it has been an incredible adventure sharing our oceanfront retreat in Spain 🇪🇸 with so many wonderful individuals.

He carries a rich lineage of 28 years steeped in the mastery of Ayahuasca and other sacred plants. As an accomplished Ayahuascero and Vegetalisto, Toni upholds his family’s tradition as curanderos.

Sani’s distinctive methodology combines spiritual mentorship and the administration of Master-Plants, complemented by specialized diets. This practice not only fuels his continuous evolution as a shaman but also presents a comprehensive healing route for those he guides. Icaros are spiritual melodies believed to be learned from spirits during dietas with teacher plants in the rainforest. These songs, integral to the healing process, are said to guide the Ayahuasca experience, providing healing, protection, and wisdom.

🍃 Wisdom of the Maestros - An Inside Look at Shamanic Diagnostics in Ayahuasca Ceremonies 🍃

The traditional Peruvian Shamans, or 'Maestros', bring an ancient wisdom into our Ayahuasca ceremonies at APL Shamanic Journeys. One of their profound practices involves using the sacred Mapacho (To***co) smoke for diagnostic purposes.

✨ But, how does it work? 🤔
Upon meeting a participant, the Maestro lights a hand-rolled Mapacho cigarette, deeply inhales the smoke, and then exhales it over the participant's body. This ritual allows the Shaman to 'read' the participant’s energetic field.

🔊🔊🔉 Remembering our last year retreats in Portugal 🇵🇹 Sunset 🌅 and twilights 🌗 are considered to be vital moments in the shamanic tradition. Amazonian curanderos tell that at this moment a crack between two worlds is happening. These two words are our human one 🌍 and the one where Spirits live 🧞‍♂️. This is one of the reasons why traditionally shamans start the Ayahuasca 🌿 ceremony in the twilight. #apljourneys

🔊🔊🔊 Maestro Anael closing the Ayahuasca 🌿 ceremony with his final Icaro and Soplo de Tobacco 💨 In the Peruvian Amazon, healers believe that when a person takes Ayahuasca his spirit flies out of the body and travels to other realms 🚀👨🏼‍🚀 That is why it is so important to close the connection with these worlds at the end of the ceremony as well as to bring the spirit of the participant back to 🌎🌍🌏 Otherwise, the spirit may be trapped between realms without any protection. "Arbores Plantas Lianas" retreat team is concentrated on providing the opportunity to work with: Ayahuasca, Kambo and maestro-plants in a medicine aspect strictly due to the traditional use of Amazonian knowledge in Europe and Peru.

For many years we work only with Peruvian Shamans and Curanderos we know and trust so you can pass a safe and life-changing experience during our retreats and understand what is Ayahuasca ceremony in its traditional Amazonian way. All our team is dedicated to create a safe environment for you with a constant, personal connection with real keepers of the traditional, medical use of plants. Our Yoga classes, diet during the retreat, everyday collaboration with our crew and shaman are aimed to explore the knowledge and discover the path of curanderos for you and help to integrate this experience into the everyday life. That's why we support our clients and friends not only before our retreats but also after in our group chats so you can always have the opportunity to share your experience and ask for an advise.

You should be ready that our retreats are aimed on deep personal work and healing on the physical, mental and energy levels so our program is always intense with a strong ceremonies from Peruvian shamans with 20+ years experience. Usually we have 3 ceremonies of Ayahuasca minimum in one week plus Kambo ceremonies, rapé and sanango sessions and yoga classes. With the everyday integration and discussion you are going to be involved in the process permanently.

The only result in our work we appreciate is your personal transformation and possibility to change your everyday life after our retreats. For this reason we will take care of your personal comfort, your safety, daily itinerary, your diet and all other things that might be under our control.
