What is Yoga Nidra?
Often called “yogic sleep”, Yoga Nidra is one of the easiest yoga practices. While the practitioner rests in corps pose (Savasana), this practice guides the body and mind into a state of conscious relaxation, calming the sympathetic nervous system and allowing the parasympathetic nervous system to take charge.
This is especially beneficial during Vata season, a time of year marked by colder and windy conditions, since these qualities can lead to increased restlessness, fatigue, and stress, which Yoga Nidra can counterbalance by grounding and calming the body and mind.
