Hoy queremos desarrollar algo más el tema del protocolo a seguir en una reunión profesional. Teniendo en cuenta quién es el “anfitrión“, necesitamos saber quién es la persona más importante que asiste a dicha reunión. Y establecer la lista de los siguientes invitados por relevancia para ir alternando derecha e izquierda a cada vez.
Los puntos clave:
A la derecha del anfitrión se sienta siempre la persona más importante en jerarquía y relevancia. La segunda en importancia se sienta a la izquierda del anfitrión.
En una mesa redonda, el anfitrión se sienta siempre mirando la puerta, nunca dándole la espalda. Y la persona más relevante, a su derecha.
En una mesa rectangular hay dos opciones:
1. La precedencia francesa, cuando el anfitrión se sienta en el centro de la mesa.
2. La precedencia inglesa, cuando el anfitrión se sienta en una de las cabeceras.
Recuerda esto cuando entres u organices una reunión. Los detalles cuentan y TODO comunica.
Today we want to develop the topic of protocol further, specifically the seating protocol of a professional meeting. We need to take into account who is the “host”, as well as who is the most important person attending said meeting. Then, we need to establish the list of invitees, by order of relevance, alternating right to left of the host each time.
The key points include:
* The most important person, in terms of hierarchy and relevance, always sits to the right of the host. The second most important sits to the left of the host.
* In a round table, the host always sits facing the door, never with their back facing it.
* In a rectangular table there are two options:
1. The French method, when the host sits in the centre of the table.
2. The English method, when the host sits at the head of the table.
Remember this tip when you enter or organise a meeting. Every detail counts and everything communicates.
