You may think we are as far as Japan, at the cherry blossoming fields, but this is Cieza, in the South of Spain, and this is the view you can enjoy at every winter, at this term of the year, when the peach amd plum trees start blossoming 🌳💐🌞. Actually these peaches are exported to all over the world. Famous by by their flavour and Denomination of Origing 🍑😋

If you are around or sometime you have the chance to come over, I definately recommend you to pay a visit and... if I am around, I'll be happy to accompany you or giving you some more tips 😉

What does migas 🍞🥓 dish consist of? This is a very old dish made mostly with either flour or hard bread as the base. Then to accompany the dough pork coldcuts and fried aside and mixed with the dough together with the oil used to cook them to enhance the flavour. 😋

Saying that we say we eat them when it rains cos here, in the south this is a non-very common phenomenon, so when it happens it is something to celebrate.

Though a simple food, cooking migas it is not so easy 😅👩‍🍳🧑‍🍳, due to a very long cooking process to make the dough become small pieces, but don’t worry, you will be able to find them in some typical bars.

Happy to meet family 👫👭👩‍👩‍👧‍👦 today at home to celebrate my niece & my nephew's 14th birthday.

This is a common custom in Spain, and most of the countries to celebrate around a table full of:

- Apertives🍤: marineras (typical tapa from Murcia), octopus, mojama & hueva, and so on
- Paella a banda 🥘 -like pealed seafood paella, as the main course,
- Birthday cake 🎂 to end up blowing out the candles

Hoy sí que sí, hablamos con Pepe Abellán, nuestro percusionista enamorado del cajón.🥰🥁

De familia de músicos, su pasión ya le venía desde niño. Pasión que le llevó desde el Conservatorio Superior de Música de Murcia, hasta Boston, La Habana y un sinfín de lugares que han hecho que este pedazo de músico y persona haya llegado a crear su propio método para llevar el ritmo a todos y todos lados. 🌍👫👫👫🌎

Pepe carries music in his veins, coming from a musicians’ family. This passion takes him from Murcia Music Conservatory passing by Boston, La Habana and an endless list of places. Thus Pepe has developed his own box drum method, to take rhythm to everyone and everywhere. 🌍👫👫👫🌎

Vegetable paella!!! Mmmm... Nice! 🥘

It could be a typical Sunday meal, as traditionally has been in every Spaniard home, but truth is that in Spain we can eat paella any day, mostly in the South, and mostly in the East where we've got the most vegetables.

Now it is the season for artichockes, green beans, fresh garlic, coliflower... 🍅🍆🥦🌶which will give the sweetest flavour to you paella.

And what it is best... if you can have it newly cook by a Spanish mum. Then you can touch heaven.
