Crafting Low-Impact Events:
This summer, our client .bayerische decided to reduce the impact they made during their visit to our islands, and create a 'Net Zero' Event. From choosing a hotel using green energy, to selecting low-carbon sailboat experiences, locally-sourced catering and in-season ingredients, sustainability was at the heart of every decision during initial planning.
Working with , we officially calculated the event’s carbon footprint (19,678.83 kg CO2) and identified global projects to compensate the final emissions that were unavoidable.
They selected two wonderful projects in India and Zambia that promote clean energy with microloans for solar lamps and cooking stoves, to reduce emissions while also empowering local communities.
