Most advice to use a towel or paper to get grip of it.
Here is an old videoof my son, removing the membrane at the age of +/-4.
The trick is to start from the middle. Work your way underneath the skin and remove it in a slow and fluent movement.

A serious question for my personal understanding.
Freshwater crayfish (Procambarus Clarkii) are an invasive species in Spain. And has put native crabs at risk of extinction. As well affecting other species like amfibians and fish. Plus causing damage to crops.
Would this mean that it can be offered to a vegan person?
