Just had the incredible opportunity to witness and partake in the traditional Mendhi and Sangeet ceremonies for Sonal and Sharan’s wedding, and let me tell you, it was absolutely breathtaking. The vibrant colors, intricate designs, and joyful dancing all came together in a truly magical celebration of love and unity. It was such a beautiful fusion of Indian traditions in the stunning setting of Spain, and it was an experience that will stay with me forever. “You should have seen it” Part II: Laila and Omar’s Wedding. It took place on July 28, 2017. This date will forever be etched in our memories, as it was the same day that Javier Monge and Inma Cardenas (General Managers of Bodas del Sur) tied the knot. Can you believe the coincidence? Both couples getting married on the exact same day! And to make it even more unbelievable, both weddings were held in the quaint town of Cazalla de Sierra.

The logistics of organizing two weddings in the same town on the same day seemed impossible, but somehow we managed to pull it off, and both ceremonies were a tremendous success. To add another layer of serendipity to the mix, Laila and Omar had booked an Airbnb in Seville for their wedding stay, and it turned out to be the very apartment owned by Javier and Inma.

Prior to these events, none of the couples knew each other, but the shared experience of having their big day coincide in such a remarkable way is something that will undoubtedly be remembered for years to come. Same day, same town, same agency, same apartment...truly a once-in-a-lifetime series of events.

💫 Today we begin a series of publications that aim to remember past weddings under the motto “you should have seen it”.

The first wedding we remember is Romit & Walter’s, back in 2015! A wedding that caused a huge impact in the city of Seville, as it was one of the first Hindu weddings celebrated in the city. The impact was also enormous in the media, and since then it has been featured in many outlets. For us, it was unforgettable, an experience that somehow changed the direction of the agency, opening us up to foreign clients who showed us the elegance of simplicity.

On December 14th, as we already told you, we inaugurated our new offices. More than 100 people attended the event, all of them related to the event industry: venues, caterers, photographers, decorators, transportation companies, even the former Mayor came to visit us! Now you will understand why we like to call ourselves “local partners”, as a great part of the success of the event depends on local contacts, and at Bodas del Sur we take care of them with all our love.
