Benjamin Franklin once vouched that after three days men gro weary, of a w***h, a guest, and weather rainy. But today, it’s twenty minutes. Every twenty minutes or so, make sure there’s something new added to the mix: change the music, dim the lights, or turn them off altogether; serve the next course of the meal; give a toast, finish the toast; pass the tequila shots… a new development every twenty minutes is an antidote to ennui.
