Open Air Bar & Club DIA is a daytime haven born out of a need for a safe and well-thought-out regular open air venue and hangout in Helsinki.

Quality music, community radio broadcasts, drinks and food. Located by the waterside, the venue and it’s surroundings create the setting for a perfect summer day. The surrounding containers create an an intimate atmosphere for an open air affair. Friday and Saturday evenings are dedicated to full-on dance music with in-house parties. On Wednesdays different collectives take over the area for their

own parties, and weekdays are set to the tone of community radio IDA Helsinki broadcasting live from site 16-22. The bar is open everyday and all the time for the thirsty ones, and a food stand will keep your hunger at bay. This is the type of outdoor venue we feel Helsinki has been missing for years.

Katerina is so good at what she does that if you don’t know by now (you will never ever ever ever know). That was a modified Simply Red quote (in case you missed it). As you probably know she runs the exquisite Émotsiya label and her music has come out on Hivern Discs, Cómeme, Rhythm Section and TIGERSUSHI RECORDS (big CV).

MILK (MILK - On Air) is a creamy DJ duo made up of Janne X and Mr.A. Legends, LEGENDS. Mr. A has been on the forefront of club night Rebels, bringing in the likes of Roi Perez, Derrick Carter, Virginia and more. Huh? Yup. Janne X was behind the crazy party concept F*g You that ran for over 10 years and which basically achieved cult status among Helsinki’s nightlife creatures.

Jokki, your mom’s favorite. An absolute sweetheart. From that Better Things to Do f(l)ame. True to the game and never the same.

Local Deep's local favorite Hilla Liila keeps it techy, groovey, and sweaty. Badabim badabum. Check it.

We won’t say that Friday is strictly about techno, but neither would that be too far from the truth.

Helsinki-based, globally embraced Samuli Kemppi is one of Finland’s finest dance music proponents. Together with Juho Kusti they’ve been doing exceptional work in and around techno in Helsinki for at least 15 years or so through Deep Space Helsinki, not to mention the vast amount of Youtube videos Kemppi has been putting out recently where he uncovers some of the methods of his producing.

Long time deejay Rigid, another staple of our town, has earned his place through UG collective Sewage and now defunct UPM11. Uncompromising and fully dedicated, Rigid is friggin’ ready.

Laura MRLS is the co-founder of event and podcast series SYNAĒ and a resident at techno multi-platform Monument. As a proponent of darker sounds, Laura finds comfort through layered sonic fabrics, adding into what is in the best of cases a mystic sensory experience.

We're honored to welcome some very special guests this Saturday. Yes, your eyes are correct: c'est thee TIN MAN , together with Lil' Tony , LDY OSC and MØRA. Big tings.

For the past 15 odd years the California-born, half-Finn Tin Man has been redefining acid in his own playful way through his productions which have been released on Acid Test Records and legendary Finnish label Keys of Life among other outlets. Love, S*x, Acid.

Lil' Tony is someone who doesn't need much of an introduction here. He's been pushing Helsinki nightlife into new spheres for the better part of two decades with conceptual club nights and quirky festivals, not to mention being one of the few Finns to tour the world through deejaying.

Viennese Musician, software and electronics engineer LDY OSC is a oscillator lover (hence the name). Originally from Mexico, LDY OSC (real name Alyssa Barrera Auvinen) approaches music from a tech-savy standpoint and has releases out on the influential New York label The Bunker New York and long-running Malmö outlet Kontra-Musik/Ulf Eriksson. Gettin’ geeky with it!

Although relatively a newcomer, MORA has been lurking behind the scene for a while, soaking in influences long enough to now having earned her place (for example through die BOX ) in whatever it is that’s happening around us. Expecting a lot from her in the future :^)

You’ll want to come early for this one.

It's a fun Friday ahead as we get down and shake it all around to Trevor Deep Jr., Hanna Ojanen and DJ Marc Fred

Marc Fred is one of the hardest working people in the biz, digging incessantly, playing weekly (at least in regular times), running a record label Elossa Records and organizing club nights. It has indeed been a while since we've heard him in a club setting though so we look forward to seeing what he brings to the table.

Hanna Ojanen, the funk phenomenon. Always a treat: fun, tasteful, and full of love. We can't remember not smiling when we've danced to her sets.

Finland's number one purveyor of water-proof grooves, Trevor Deep Jr. blends classic Chicago House, Detroit Techno Soul, the underground sounds of NYC and the moody soundscapes of Helsinki into a blissful amalgam of old and new dance rhythms. "House music all day everyday"

🍬 SATURDAY 🍬

Saturday's lineup sees Electronic Market affiliates Suski, Emma Valtonen and Elisa Katariina in addition to Marju, another highly tasteful DJ, take the reins.

Marju sets the waves into motion with what we can only expect to be supremely pleasant dance music, followed by Elisa Katariina's careful selecziooone of delicatessens.

Setting the dials a tad bit higher, Emma Valtonen continues from there. Is it dubby? Probably. Is it floaty? Most likely.

As we move onto the grande finale of the weekend, we have the pleasure of hearing what Suski has been stuffing her record bag with over the past year and a half. Something tells us it’s gonna be really (really) good.

Dance music in many shapes, sizes and colors. Fun set to the Sun. Get down and turn around.

The day kicks off with Mary Young. Word on the street is she just got delivered a fresh batch of 90s hausz, floaty electro and the breaks (...the breaks). But what she'll put on the platter is only a matter of waiting for Saturday.

After that it's time for Sebastian Holm to grab the baton. Chances are you've heard this guy play over the 12 or so years he's been in the game. And so you must know that never is there a dull moment when he's at the controls.

Tanner Records boss Cool DJ Pinball has been in the game for even longer (forever it seems?). But the thing is, he still knows how to suprise ya. And most likely he will.

Closing down the weekend is all around go getta J.Lindroos. Expect fast, bouncy, and trancey riddims set to the beat of the drum.

Friday goes hard in the paint: Exploited Body, emkay & APEAK.

The Changeless stalwart, Signal Life mainstay and Varg²™ remixer APEAK kicks things off on his own terms. In all honesty, we don’t know what to expect other than that whatever comes out of the speakers it’ll be delivered to you with care and attention. Truss.

All around creative emkay takes over from there, tipping the boat into a slightly different direction. Known for her bouncy kinetic sets, expect a candy king mix of electro, house and techno with appropriately placed breaky turns and vocal hooks. Who knows, maybe you'll even hear tunes from her freshly released EP on Post Bar's Post Sonics label.

To bring Friday to a glorious end, Exploited Body, who caused quite a stir a couple of weeks ago at another venue (and at a Curiosity Trip event two months before Rona hit) takes things onto the final boss level. Also from the Changeless crew, this genre-blending wizard has the potential to make you go more berserk than you’ve ever gone before. You have been warned.
