Hey guys! Once again we are so looking forward to seeing you all tomorrow!
A quick checklist:
⚓️ Boat departs at 5pm sharp from Kauppatori / Market Square, be at the harbour by 4.30pm as we arrive and start loading you in.
⚓️ No cloakroom onboard so please leave all heavy items/bags at home.
⚓️ Weather looks a bit cloudy but the upper deck is rain proof, you might want to bring something warm for later.
⚓️ Downstairs bar will serve bar food for the peckish
⚓️ Boat arrives to Kauppatori at 10pm.
⚓️ Afterparty at DTM Halli2 from 22-04.

Say HIEEE to our fabulous momma bear ✨❤️🍒👠💥 Ya’ll wanted some extra sparkle and we added some and then some more! Nikola is the undisputed QUEEN of the Finlands drag scene and she has hosted our cruises on previous summers too. This time she might have an extra surprise up her skirt so prepare yourselves…it will be faaaaaabulous!

"All the fur, friends and frisky business.

What makes BOB so special?

"It's a once-in-a-year experience in high summer. There's also something magical about DJing out in the open sea when the elements provide a backdrop to your DJ set.

And what can we expect from your set at BOB 14 aftercruise?

"It's going to be an adventure – we could go anywhere. I've been getting into some really good pumping house recently, and have a couple of special surprises planned as well."

Hey ! Wanted to ask you a couple questions!

What are some of your fondest memories from BOB and what makes BOB so special to you?
"When I played School Girls track 'Beautiful' and the duo who made the song were surprised on the
dancefloor and we got a spontaneous lip-synch fun! Other memory got into a painting. Photo by Petri Tuohimaa () of me with a pink fan on the dance floor got later into one of my psychedelic Eye-Leen paintings.

BOB has a nice community feel and sexy atmosphere in daylight with
beautiful views. We see lots of smiles. Many familiar faces and new ones too. Locals and international visitors get together. And drag clowns like me are accepted too.

So, what can we expect from your set at BOB 14?
"Starting with nice deep and organic house, which goes well with the sea and the sun. Then I put some known songs/remixes to get the party going and the rest it is pumping house, tech house and latino house. You will hear 80’s influence in the set too.

"On my first BOB I didn’t know many of the other guests when I boarded Ms.Emma, but when we arrived back to the harbour I think I had talked to every single person and got many new friends. That’s what happens when you dance to good music together. "

Also, what can we expect from your set at BOB this summer?

"The plan is to play a mix of older and new favorite disco&house tracks with a balearic vibe. Let’s see if the plan changes after an olut or two."

Hailing from the deep north of Finnish Lapland, Mr.A drifted to the dance floors when he reached Helsinki nearly three decades ago – and has stayed right on the floor ever since. Active since the self- made gay nightlife of the 1990s in DIY raves and Helsinki clubs like Nylon, Kerma and DTM, Mr.A has accompanied many generations of nigthwalkers and dancers, breathing together with each new evolution to constantly re-invent himself and his relationship with the q***r night.

Hugely popular MILK venture with fellow DJ and night-life aficionado Janne X spreads melodies, beats, and storylines on radio waves as well as in club and festival takeovers.

His other legendary parties include Rebels at DTM and the summertime boat party Bears on Board. Alongside the regular Helsinki and baltic rounds, Mr.A has shared his love in the U.K, Australia, Spain, Ireland, Estonia, Germany and beyond.

From stomping house to disco, progressive, tribal, and after hours techno vibes, Mr.A has credentials in producing and songwriting – including remixes for Yoko Ono and Fischerspooner, and his track Homofaggot feat. Devon Dunaway released on Tribal America. .a

Peter Juhan is a Helsinki-based fe**sh photographer, event organizer, musician and DJ, who since 2018 has established himself as an important influencer and creator of Finnish LGBTQ+ culture. He has performed e.g. in Provinssi Festival, Helsinki Pride, Ääniwalli and Kuudes Linja. Currently, he performs regularly as a DJ at DTM and is working on his new album and photo exhibition for next summer.

Jussi P. played his first DJ sets as a teenager at underground raves in Kuopio. Many years later after moving to Helsinki, he and his friends founded Bear With Us Helsinki, a group organizing bear events. He has been a resident dj for for over 10 years already.

At Bears on Board you can expect some uplifting beats to get you in the party mood. See you on Board!
