Meet Edwin Saladoka, the Marketing Coordinator at Team Up Events! Managing accounts for both our New Zealand and Fiji. He’s the driving force behind our brand’s presence, ensuring our programs reach the right people and that every message reflects the energy of Team Up.

Let’s get to know him with a few quick-fire questions (that he's asking himself)!

1️⃣ What’s the most exciting part of marketing for Team Up?
It's recognising the plethora of team events we offer and knowing exactly how these programs can help teams work better together!

2️⃣ What’s the biggest difference between NZ & FJ audiences?
Great question. The NZ audience is corporate-driven, valuing structured team experiences with clear outcomes, while the FJ audience is more experience-focused, catering to inbound conference groups and the local market. NZ teams seek professional development and collaboration, whereas Fiji events emphasize fun, culture, and destination appeal.

3️⃣ How do you measure a successful campaign?
I measure a successful campaign by looking at engagement, reach, and conversions—but beyond the numbers, it’s about impact. If the right audience is interacting, inquiring, and taking action, that’s a win. A strong campaign doesn’t just get seen; it drives real connections and results.

5️⃣ Favourite piece of content you’ve worked on?
Not gonna lie, this is a hard question. At this moment, I think my favourite piece of content that I have worked on would be the Flat Out Afloat program video that was filmed at the Fiji Marriott Resort, Momi Bay. I'm still in awe of how we manage to make cardboard boats float well enough to race! (go watch the video on our YouTube channel)

6️⃣What’s something people misunderstand about marketing?
People often think marketing is just about advertising and selling, but it’s really about understanding people—what they need, what drives them, and how they connect with a brand. It’s not just pushing content; it’s about creating value, building trust, and sparking engagement. The best marketing doesn’t feel like marketing—it feels like the right message at the right time.
