✨ Dinner at the Manoir ✨
Last night’s dinner party was such a joy to cater for a truly lovely group of old friends from the UK and US, holidaying together in the beautiful Dordogne countryside. They’re staying at a gorgeous manoir in Vergt with their young children — and it was a pleasure to create a relaxed, elegant evening for them.

The menu was selected from our Sharing Menu (available on the website) and featured a Mediterranean mezze platter to start, followed by Normandy pork with celeriac purée, baked carrots, and green beans with toasted almonds. Dessert was a rich chocolate and lime torte — a perfect end to a summery evening.

A special children’s menu was also prepared so the whole group could dine and enjoy the evening together 🌿

Private dining, relaxed service, beautiful settings — this is what Chateaux Cuisine is all about.

🇬🇧 It's been a long time coming, but we are finally officially in summer!

And summer means more socialising, be it BBQs and/or apéros. The apéro is a big deal in France, it's synonymous with getting together with friends or family in a relaxed atmosphere before dinner, generally around 6 or 7 pm. During this gathering, people enjoy drinks accompanied by a light snack.

✨ Last night was truly special. We had the honour of serving a beautiful couple and their family from America, celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary here in charming Issigeac, near Bergerac. 🥂

As they reminisced about their wedding day, we were grateful to help create new memories with every bite. Our starter for the evening was a delicate Beef Carpaccio — an Italian classic with a French twist.

Topped with a vibrant pistou sauce, toasted pine nuts, peppery rocket salad, and shavings of 24-month aged Comté, this dish perfectly balanced fresh flavors and rich textures.

Moments like these remind us why we love what we do — sharing joy, history, and unforgettable tastes with every event.
