Like many of us, the past year has altered my working life.
♻️It has enabled me to focus on substantive issues in my area of expertise, event planning, where too often, there is an excess of waste.
⭐️I am excited to share with you the launch of my new project, .marketplace, and our first step towards tackling this issue, surrounded by a very talented team.
💡The idea came to me during lockdown, where I was faced with the abrupt halt in our event planning activities, wondering what to do with all of the unused products that we could not store.
This situation reminded me of the amazing, extravagant events that my mother Nicole 💫 created and designed all over the world over her 24 years in the events industry. With over 700 events organised, she dreaded the moment it came to dismantling each event and could not bear to watch the special bespoke decor simply destroyed and thrown away after months of thought, preparation and design, having only been used for a few hours.
♻️This new venture gives you the opportunity to purchase and sell second hand events items, in excellent condition, and at a low cost.
I truly believe there is so much more to do in this space, and this is just the first step in my industry to help us all consume more responsibly and to do a little more for our planet.🌍
