Lydia chose a custom design made in a blush pink silk with a sparkly sequin embellished lace on the skirt in our Cupids Bow bodice on a full circle skirt. They married in Las Vegas last year- swipe right for Elvis! - and the dress reflected both her personality and the iconic location!

Our new Stargazer dress has already received a lot of love in our boutique, the tulle is super light and floaty and covered in tiny shimmering gold stars, paired with the ballerina inspired neckline and hem length this dress is super flattering and easy to wear!
It can be customised with a matching floaty sleeve or you could take it to floor length for a more traditional look.

Lydia choose two wear two of our 1950s inspired dresses when she married last year. The first is made in a romantic pink and gold floral lace over pearly white vintage satin and the dress seen in the second photo is silk and lace in our Princess bodice with a full circle skirt.

New Dress Alert!

We love the colourful floral laces so much (as do many of our brides-to-be!) that we couldn't resist making a couple more full length gowns in them! This one features our oh-so pretty cupids bow neckline with gorgeous lace flutter sleeves and skirt. The flowers cascade down the skirt to an abundance of petals at the hem!

The making process begins with the pattern, where our head seamstress Charlotte will make the custom pattern from each individual set of measurements. She then gets all of the dress components together ready to go to one of sewers. This includes all of the fabrics such as the linings, the outer fabrics and lace, plus the zip and any trims or buttons.

We currently have three sewers who make all of the dresses, skirts, tops and boleros for us. All of them live and work in Brighton. They come to our little studio to pick up the prepared pieces and take them away to sew in their own studio.
Then weeks later they are returned to us where a member of our team checks them for style and size before they are posted or collected.

Each dress is custom made to order, right here in the UK. No airmiles, no factories.

We loved making this raspberry pink coloured silk dress for Hannah, it is so unique to her. Hannah knew she did not want a white dress, or one that felt too traditional and so we got to pull out the colourful materials and look at shapes that felt right for her.
The result is this retro looking dress that features a more tailored shape and the skirt has pockets!

A new tea length wedding dress made from an original pearl white vintage satin fabric and featuring our really popular lace blue poppy lace on the bodice.

The pearl white satin that this dress is made from is an original vintage fabric found as an untouched "end-of-roll".

This is a question that we have been asked a lot recently!

We are a small business with a tiny team of seven, and we make the dresses to order and so we do not produce thousands of dresses, but hundreds, around 300 hundred a year in fact! In truth we have the capacity make more than this, and because we control the entire process, from design to make, we can turn them around in months or weeks, depending on your requirements.

Lovely bride Jennifer chose to have a classic fifties style, short wedding dress in ivory silk with just a touch of floral lace. This dress is our Princess bodice style with a knee length circle skirt, worn with a layered petticoat for extra volume.

Our dresses can be made in whatever length you prefer, short or long, there are no rules here!

Something we are often asked is what size samples we hold in our boutique.
We know that it can feel off-putting if there are no dresses in your size, or even close, to try on.
Over the last few seasons we have been growing our range of size 20+ samples so that we have more to offer you. We have lots of different styles and fabrics available and we are working towards getting them on our website so that you can see some of what we have in store before your appointment.

So, while we can make our dresses in any shape or size to fit any body, we also appreciate that to help you imagine the finished dress you need to see one on your body.
