Proud 🥹 Our very own Curl Aberdeen member Rebecca Morrison, and her team, are announced for the Team GB Milano Cortina Winter Olympics 26 squad!

Today it is announced that our team has been selected to represent Team GB at the Milano Cortina 2026 Winter Olympic Games. We are so honoured and proud of this achievement and cannot wait for the hard work over the next 8 months!! 🕺🏻

Please note that due to a lack of numbers we have taken the decision to postpone the fundraising Race Night that was due to be held at the rink on THIS Saturday 28th June.

We have moved this to the other side of the summer – in a hope that we can capture more interest as a pre-season get together. The new date will be Saturday 20th September. If you had previously bought tickets and can no longer make the new date please let me know and we will refund you. 

Thank you to those of you who had shown interest – we do apologise for the inconvenience of having to cancel this Saturday’s event, but hope to see you at the next date in September.

You have until 10am Monday to reserve tickets for our Race Night on Sat 28th June. If you're thinking of coming along but undecided here's what the small price of £18 gets you...

...a fun evening of entertainment from none other than Meldrum and Daviot's Neil Matheson. Now if you've ever been to one of their race night's you'll be well aware of Neil's comic timing and race night expertise, if not then you're in for a treat!! We'll also throw in some tasty food with a hot buffet from 5.30pm. Oh and a wee game of heads and tails to start you off before we get into the races - proper races on the big screen, don't worry we're not getting you to wind up the wee ponies.

If you're feeling flush you can even sponsor a horse or a whole race - with some great prizes for the horse "owners". See details in the photo.

🥌 Many thanks to Faye from Scottish Curling for popping along to Curl Aberdeen this evening to run an Introduction to Floor Curling Workshop with some of our coaching team, development volunteers and members. Thanks to all who came along - it was a fun and informative session with maybe a touch of competitiveness for good measure! If anyone is interested in borrowing our Floor Curling kits for any upcoming events in and around the city and shire do get in touch with Lianne at [email protected] - we're looking forward to taking this along to Echt Show on 12th July too! 🥌

It's not too late a get yourself some tickets to our Race Night on Saturday 28th June!

Tickets are available to purchase via [email protected] and are only £18 per person which includes your food. Please see further information below. This event is not exclusively for curlers so please bring along your friends, family, colleagues, the more the merrier.

🎉 Curl Aberdeen 20th Anniversary Dinner 🎉

Wow - thank you EVERYONE - for your support, attendance and generosity. What a night! Thank you for joining us at The Chester Hotel for a fantastic night of good food, great company and lots of fun. Maybe a few wines were indeed drunk in celebration!

Thanks to MC Steven J Innes for keeping the evening running smoothly, comedian Eric Davidson for the laughs and songs, our Olympic panel Bruce Mouat, Jackie Lockhart and Tom Brewster for a fantastic Q&A session.

A huge thank you to all the wonderful volunteers that assist us 💓 We certainly couldn't do it without you - from coaches and umpires, to club secretaries and all our various committee teams. Thank you for your time, commitment and love of our sport 😊. It's not too late to get involved - if you still fancy coming along to our Floor Curling Workshop on 18th June at 6pm....or would like to get involved with various volunteering and coaching opportunities next season....or fancy lending your expertise to our committee...then please get in touch with Lianne in the office. It is great to see so many already offer their time and ideas. We can't wait for next season 🙌

It is with great sadness that we share the news of Arthur Beattie's passing. He has been a huge asset to Curl Aberdeen over many decades, even still showing up weekly to coach novices in his 90s, he will be so incredibly missed. Thank you Arthur 💙
