Now that I've slept for 18 hours... 💤

🧙‍♂️✨ A massive THANK YOU to everyone who attended the 2nd Fantasy Con Scotland yesterday! Whether you were a visitor, stall holder, entertainer, volunteer, actor, or part of the venue staff—your contributions made the event truly magical. I’m incredibly proud of what we achieved together and am already excited about bringing it back next year.

However, it’s time for a change. As some of you may have guessed, Aberdeen isn’t the right city for this event to thrive. To ensure that Fantasy Con can continue, that means finding a new home. Thank you all for your support and I can’t wait to see where we take this adventure next! 🛡️🏰

You might think this event is designed with children in mind first. But it's actually made for people like me. The nerdy millennials who always felt a bit out of place in Aberdeen. The people who want to forget about the day-to-day life, the world burning – that sort of thing. They're designed to make other adults like me give their brain a break for a day too.

🔮 Into Role Play? Interact with our NPCs, embark on quests, and weave your own stories. Think of it as a real-life video game where you choose to be the hero, or perhaps the villain...

🎉 Prefer the Convention Vibe? Feel free to ignore the role-play and simply enjoy the entertainment, stalls, and exhibits. It’s your day, your rules!

Next for our Fantasy Con Scotland What's On Guide - The Promenade Room!

🕙 10am - 12pm: Get sorted into your wizard house! This is also where our exciting new points system will be set up. Will you be placed into:

🦁 Lionhorn: Valiant, Loyal, Resilient

🌿 Thistlespire: Intriguing, Fearless, Unconventional

🧩 Riddlecrag: Cunning, Strategic, Intellectual

A lot of work is going into managing our points system and house identification for the day, so if you want to take part, 𝗣𝗟𝗘𝗔𝗦𝗘 book your ticket before the end of next week.

🕛 12pm - 2pm: Enjoy pirate stories with the wonderful Pauline Cordiner.

🕑 2pm - 4pm: More wizard sorting and points activities, plus some mystery events happening in this area.

🔮 And in the small room right next to the Promenade, meet our fortune teller. (She might not be a real tarot card reader... in fact, she may just be an actor spinning tales as part of the day's quests and adventures!)

(Meet the Villain)

Meet The Count, a dazzling drag-king vampire who lights up the neon streets with his charm and intrigue.

Born centuries ago as Jo Crawford, he turned his back on his noble family’s tyranny and embraced immortality. But The Count doesn’t crave blood; he thrives on epic dance battles in abandoned warehouses and underground clubs -and on the 11th of August at the Beach Ballroom!

On stage performance - make sure you keep an eye out for the vampire hunter during the day to learn what you need to know if you ever face a vampire!

3 weeks today until Fantasy Con Scotland returns to the Beach Ballroom in Aberdeen - this years theme.. VILLAINS!

Live music, entertainment, fantasy stalls, wizard cup 2024, exhibits, role play, tabletop games, storytelling, pirates, a mermaid, npcs, costume contest, owls (real), dragons (puppets, but pretend they are real), quests, map making and so much more!!

We have only 17 tier one (10am early access) tickets remaining, then we'll move onto tier 2.
Our new tiered pricing models means the quicker you book, the cheaper your tickets. Once tier 2 is sold out, we move onto 3, and tickets will cost more on the day.
