Slightly stretch crepe fabric in pale ivory with a lace v-necked bodice which has a scattering of tiny ivory sequins, this dress skims your curves gently. A short kickout train has a lace inlay which gives a subtle detail at the rear. It’s pleated softly across the left hip for a flattering fit.

I do love a challenge! Step back in time with this stunning pale apricot organza and guipure lace true vintage wedding gown— it's both demure, elegant and effortlessly charming. This dress is timelessly classic.

It has a flattering empire line silhouette with a slim column skirt that flows gracefully into a beautifully shaped train. The train, which attaches seamlessly into the side seams of the skirt, is a showstopper in its own right, edged with a deep ruffle that is delicately trimmed with daisy guipure lace—totally 70s.

🧵✂️ I'm an avid collector of vintage dress patterns - mostly for sewing inspiration, but also because I just love the changing artwork over the years. Now we have photos of the garment on pattern envelopes but it's a relatively recent introduction. This is my latest acquisition which I'm dating to very late 1960's. It's certainly pre 1971 as it's priced at 4 shillings and 7 pence (the equivalent of about 25p today.)
For comparison, a wedding dress sewing pattern today from Vogue patterns retails at £19.99.
The combined cape/train combo is unusual.

A close family member has been admitted to the hospital, which means regretfully, I won't be participating in this Sunday's bridal sample sale at Pittodrie House Hotel from 11am to 2pm.
