🐎MURPHY - THE HORSE RIDING SIMULATOR🐎

Aberdeen Riding School have recently purchased a riding simulator which they have named Murphy - This purchase means that people with disabilities who may not be able to mount a horse can be hoisted on to Murphy and enjoy the experience of horse riding. Murphy can also be used for training, practice and to build confidence 🤩

The Trades Widows Fund are delighted to have contributed towards the purchase of Murphy.

Murphy has so far proven to be highly popular - one of just three simulators in Scotland - with keen riders travelling from as far away as Thurso for lessons on the simulator.

🍞BAKERS WEEKEND AWAY🍞

The Aberdeen Baker Incorporation had a wonderful weekend away in Inverness for their annual outing ✨

A lovely dinner was had on Friday evening at the Kingsmills Hotel, Inverness followed by a quiz which resulted in a draw! This is to be battled out at the next weekend away!

On Saturday during the day, Prickly Thistle hosted a wonderful tartan sewing workshop at Ness Walk where the group were able to personalise their very own highland woven tartan scarf! Clare who ran the workshop was an absolute delight and it was thoroughly enjoyed by everyone who attended.

Saturday evening was a formal dinner within the hotel followed by a few tipples 🥃

A great time was had by all and well done Boxmaster Kevin Leiper for organising an excellent weekend! 👏

🩷🩵 BABY LOSS AWARENESS WEEK 🩷🩵

Trinity Hall has been lit up in pink and blue for the past week for Baby Loss Awareness Week (7th -15th October). We hope that participating will spark conversations about pregnancy loss and baby loss, and let local bereaved parents and families know we stand with them and that they are not alone.

Baby Loss Awareness Week provides an opportunity to raise awareness of the impact of pregnancy and baby loss; the importance that bereavement support plays in the ongoing bereavement journey; and of the vital work that is needed to improve pregnancy outcomes and to save babies’ lives.

We have some fantastic local charities including Aberdeen Sands, the stillbirth & neonatal death charity who are a beacon of light to families during very dark times.

Baby Loss Awareness Week ends with the global ‘Wave of Light’ on the 15th of October. Everyone is invited, wherever they are in the world, to light a candle at 7pm local time as a special mark of support and remembrance.

Tonight will be the last chance to see Trinity Hall, so if you are passing, please take photographs and help us try to raise awareness.
