⭐️Pillar Kincardine DONATION⭐️

Yesterday morning Deacon David N. Parkinson of the Aberdeen Tailors Incorporation, visited Pillar Kincardine, a small voluntary organisation based in Stonehaven, supporting people in and around Kincardine who are coping with serious emotional, social or mental health difficulties. They operate from the Old Courthouse building in Stonehaven, but also use a number of community facilities in Stonehaven, Inverbervie, Portlethen and Laurencekirk.

Pillar helps build a network of friends and contacts, including qualified staff who provide advice and support to help on the road to recovery and wellbeing.

The reason for the visit was that at the Tailors Annual Dinner at the beginning of December last year a Prize Draw was held and £1450 was raised.

The picture shows Deacon Parkinson presenting the cheque to Gillian Grochla (Senior Manager) and Susan Young (Support Worker).

🐎MURPHY - THE HORSE RIDING SIMULATOR🐎

Aberdeen Riding School have recently purchased a riding simulator which they have named Murphy - This purchase means that people with disabilities who may not be able to mount a horse can be hoisted on to Murphy and enjoy the experience of horse riding. Murphy can also be used for training, practice and to build confidence 🤩

The Trades Widows Fund are delighted to have contributed towards the purchase of Murphy.

Murphy has so far proven to be highly popular - one of just three simulators in Scotland - with keen riders travelling from as far away as Thurso for lessons on the simulator.
