We continue to challenge ourselves, Emma competed in the British Florist Association Young Florist of the Year 2009 held at Tatton Park and achieved 5th place. Having won the Scottish heat in Glasgow Emma will be entering the RHS Young Florist of the Year Competition at Chelsea Flower Show in 2011. It’s amazing how something that is so tight when we get them in eventually open to full bloom. This variety even changes colour as it matures as you can see from todays photo 🌻😄

But the Selection Panel have now announced the final nominees being considered for the first National Florist Day Faces of Floristry. There's over 200 on the list ... now they have to whittle it down further to reach the final 100 .. we don't envy them their job. It feels like it’s becoming a habit but we are delighted to say we will be closed Saturday 23rd and Monday 25th September for the local holiday. Have a great long weekend if you’re lucky to be off work😄🌻 Ps the pic is a Glorisa plant which was in the shop last year took it home and it’s been outside all summer and is now producing 4 flower heads. It’s a native of the more tropical countries but this one is loving Scotland🌻😄

After a very busy week I thought I would treat mum to a special fine piece Friday so popped into Almondine for some beautiful cakes and macarons. They were exquisite and the service was top notch so thank you to Almondine for making our Friday!
