Bookings are open now for Show Jumping this weekend.
Please note the slight change in class names: the Poles, 50cm and 60cm classes are called 'Equitation Jumping.' They will follow the same format as used through the Winter League, with marks given for each section of the course, rhythm, lines and rider position.
The 70cm class will run as standard for show jumping: riders who complete a clear round will ride a timed jump off to determine placings. We've added a 60cm Show Jumping class for riders who are Blue+ ribbon and above, which will follow the same format.
Hopefully the weather is on our side and we can make a good start to the Summer League!☀️

This Thursday past Hayfield hosted ‘The Blue Cross Horse and Pony Care’ area competition. It was a super day with 45 teams competing which is 140 competitors! A big well done to everyone who competed. Hayfield had 2 senior teams, 2 junior teams and a mini team. Everyone worked so hard to learn lots of horse care information and skills. We have one senior team and one junior teams qualified for nationals! A big well done to everyone though for all their effort! Also a huge thank you to all those who helped behind the scenes to get ready for the big day-we couldn’t have done this without all our volunteers.
We are so lucky to have such a beautiful setting-yesterday Lorna saw this lovely red squirrel at the bottom of the ‘Big Sand’ arena!
A big thank you to everyone who has donated so far to our fundraiser to refurbish the big school: https://gofund.me/65f1e23c Thank you to Chris Ward for donating his time and expertise with the cherry picker to get the gutters sorted! We are only £190 away from being able to purchase new kick boards for the big school. These are important so that our horses and riders stay safe. Please keep sharing our fundraising page.
We are looking for volunteers to help on the yard on Sunday and Tuesday evening. Volunteers must have attended a Hayfield horse care course. Please comment below if you would be able to help. Many thanks!

We are happy and sad at the same time to let you all know that Oliver has gone to his retirement home. He has given so much joy, pleasure and education to so many riders and we were privileged to have him as part of our team. He owes us nothing and we owe him everything. A big thank you to his new owner who has been so kind in giving him the perfect home. It’s lovely to see him settle in so well!

Pony Racing Authority The next Hayfield PRA academy has started! We have done the first two sessions as well as a catch up session for those missing a session in the holidays. Everyone is working really hard to improve their fitness and balance. It’s lovely to see the dedication from everyone so far. A big thank you to the PRA for the opportunity they are offering these riders and to Godolphin for the provision of the equicisor which helps the riders with their training.
