Llanover Local Spaces For Nature Consultation!
Just a reminder that Lewis Carter Cllr. Llanover GFCC and MCC will be holding a public engagement event in the village hall on 24th July @17:00 - 18:30. The meeting will be to seek the community's views on plans to improve the public green space in Rhyd-y-Meirch for nature and residents, as well as plans to improve biodiversity and St Bartholomew's Churchyard (subject to future finding approval).
We'd be delighted if members of the community showed up to provide feedback and let us know if they would like to be involved or just show their support.

Just spreading awareness about a local petition to install a pedestrian crossing and reduce the speed limit on the A4042 through Llanover. If anyone would like to sign you can do so using the link below.
Paper copies will be shared in various locations throughout Llanover and the surrounding area soon.
The busy A4042 runs directly through the heritage village of Llanover. Residents and visitors need to cross the road to use the bus service, access the amenity of the Mon and Brecon Canal and visit the renown Llanover Gardens which open to the public at intervals through the year. Just want to say a massive thank you to everyone who turned up to Llanover Mari Lwyd yesterday. It was a fabulous event and great to see it back in Llanover after so long. We hope to make it an annual tradition if you'd like?
A huge thanks to the Goose & Cuckoo Inn for organising and supporting, Dave Painter for baking the Welsh cakes, Kyle Williams for dressing up as Fflosi and Mari Afon Lwyd - Fflosi of Cwmni Gwerin Pontypwl for bringing this tradition back to Llanover.

Fantastic news! Llanover Events and the Goose & Cuckoo Inn are teaming up to revive the historic Welsh Mari Lwyd tradition in Llanover. It's been well over 60 years since the last Mari Lwyd procession and we are thrilled to be bringing it back. Those eagle eyed residents may recognise the Mari Lwyd scene in the painting on the old Llanover Post Office.
We hope you can all join us with your kids, friends and family as we parade through the village. We'll have traditional music, songs and Welsh cakes for attendees. Then its up to the Goose & Cuckoo where the merriment will continue. Can't wait to see you there!!

Wow! What a fantastic Llanover Christmas Cracker 2023! A huge thank you on behalf of the Llanover Events team to all who volunteered, donated and turned out to celebrate. It was wonderful to see you all enjoying yourselves so much. Another big thank you to GW Crafters, Blaenavon Male Voice Choir, Llanover & Coldbrook, Llanover Village Hall, St Bartholomew's Church and special guest Santa for all helping us to make this event a success!

Lots of lovely residents and visitors to Llanover got to enjoy the festive sounds of Abergavenny Salvation Army brass band today. Mulled wine/cider and brass band, it doesn't get more Christmas than that!!
The Abergavenny Salvation Army is kindly performing for the Christmas lights switch on outside the village hall. Please come down and give generously and join in the festivity.
