Armistice Day has got us thinking. Next year will be the 80th Anniversary of VE day. In true Llanover Events style we intend to celebrate it with a big 1940s knees up in the village (event details to be announced in the new year).

In support of the celebrations, we'd like to start a community project to record an oral history of wartime Llanover and surrounding area stories. This would involve identifying, interviewing and recording stories from those who remember the second world war or have stories of relatives who fought or contributed to the war effort at home or abroad.

If this is something you'd like to be involved with and can help pull together please reach out to us on messenger. Equally, if you have any stories, photos or records you'd allow us to use please get in touch.

We're thrilled to announce the return of the Llanover Christmas Cracker 2024! We hope you will all come and join us and get in the festive spirit on Nov 30th. This year we'll be joined by Usk Brass Band, GW Crafters and we'll be running our own Llanover Events Christmas Workshop. All our event profits go to funding and subsidising our calendar of events for 2025 so please come, give generously and let's make this the best one yet.

Wow! Thanks to all who joined us for our first ever Halloween event. It was so lovely to see so many joining in the fun and line dancing. A truly spooktacular barn dance indeed.

Let us know if you enjoyed it? Preparations now turn to our next event the Llanover Christmas Cracker (30th November). Hope to see you there!

Encourage others friends and family to do the same. We hear so often how much residents want a change so now is the time to try and make this happen.

Lots going on in Llanover this weekend!

Tomorrow the fun starts with the Llanover Spooky Barn Dance (4 - 7pm) followed by the Monster Mash at the Goose & Cuckoo Inn (7pm till late).

Sunday we have the harvest festival at St Bartholomew's Church (in lower Llanover) at 4pm. Any donations of flowers or produce would be greatly received at the church.

We hope to see many of you at our spooktacular barn dance.

Who's ready to take a spooky trip out west?! We're thrilled to announce our very first Halloween Llanover Spooky Barn Dance at the Llanover Village Hall (Oct 26th) . Free entry to all with line dancing and instructor. Suitable for all ages and dance abilities. Fancy dress encouraged but not mandated. Come join in the fun with us this Halloween.

Hope you all enjoyed last Saturday's Llanover Flower & Produce show?! We certainly did! A huge thanks to Roy & Mandy Evans for organising, volunteers and all who submitted entries into this year's show. Here are some pictures we took from the event.

Next year will be the 25th Anniversary Extravaganza! So if you keep thinking I'll get round to it next year, then please give it a go and help make next year's extra special.

Big Village Breakfast Sold Out! Thanks to everyone who turned up and made this our biggest Llanover village breakfast yet! Lovely, to see so many returning and new faces to this event! We hope you all enjoyed it and will come next time. Now it's time for a sit down and cuppa as we toast another great event done!
