A luxury venue needs luxury spaces, and that’s exactly what we created for Kerry and Angus.
Using vintage crates, pillar candles and floral meadows in whites and greens we lined the Calf shed.

This year our gorgeous Christmas Wreath workshop will be held at the fabulous Abergavenny hotel!
With the hum of Christmas songs in the air and the taste of a festive tipple (and some nibbles!) we’ll spend a couple of hours soaking up the festive atmosphere creating a gorgeous Christmas wreath in a gorgeous setting.
We’ll guide you step by step through the process before handing over to you to create a unique wreath of your own! All seasonal foliage and material is provided (as well as the odd bit of Christmas extras)
(Price includes all materials for your own wreath as well as a Xmas drink and nibble provided by the Abergavenny hotel, the bar will be open for extra refreshments)

You need to hear this… most suppliers I know have their diaries open and filling up fast for 2025!
Most are small / micro business which means they have room for 1 or 2 weddings a day or even weekend.
If you’ve been eyeing your supplier up but just haven’t got round to reaching out , here’s your sign to do it this week!
Oh, and if you’re getting married in 2026 it’s never too early to reach out. Even if they’re not taking bookings yet the chances are they’ll pop your name in pencil by that date.

Heres my top tip for Wedding planning:
Set out your and your partners top 3 priorities.
You can do it separately and then sit together to discuss, or decide together from the start.
Wether that’s an incredible venue, Michelin star quality food, a party atmosphere, amazing photography, or so many beautiful flowers 😉
This will help with decision making particularly when it comes to budget, as these will be the things to keep referring back to. And the things to remember were important to you.

Irises and hyacinths
I fancied painting some new Spring flowers, so I popped along to Bloomify just around the corner from my studio and picked out these big bold irises. They’re still looking lovely.

Why do florists ask you to pre-order for big days like Mother’s Day and Valentine’s Day? - it’s a long caption!
You’ve certainly seen it from me, and I’m sure you will have also seen it from other florists, we ask you to pre-order for those calendar worthy events, such as mothers day, valentines day. Have you ever wondered why? Well, when we order from our wholesalers they offer an extended pre-ordering service for these events. This allows them to secure enough flowers from the growers (as these will be shipping their flowers all around the world). It also allows us to secure a price so we can design and create the gorgeous florals you will be buying! The sad truth is during these times flower prices increase even to an even higher price point than they are all year round so again it helps us florists create the best bouquets we can without them being out of reach for most people. It also helps florists to order the right amount of flowers so they don’t end up having lots of flowers left over, or running out and not being able to service their customers. The pre-ordering is often open till a day or so before so even as short notice as that can help!
For me I will be closing my pre-order tonight. Thank you to all those who have ordered. We will have some availability for anyone who hasn’t ordered, but I can’t guarantee we will be close on Saturday!

What do you do when you feel the imposter syndrome creeping in?
I look back on how far we’ve come in the last few years, how many amazing couples we’ve been able to create florals for, the friends I’ve made in the Wedding industry and all the skills I’ve learnt.
I am blessed to be part of one of the best days in people’s lives and I never take that for granted!

As 2023 draws to a close.
This rose bouquet in its lightness, gently surrounded by wax flower and the soft movement of the clematis is the perfect balance of elegance and cottage garden.
