Hope & Joy - my thoughts
This piece focusing on Hope & Joy was written for and shared at the recent Service of Remembrance staged by Heritage Funeral Service Ltd in Blaenavon. I thought I would record it so that it could be shared more widely if it's helpful to anyone.
Thought I would share the work down to this stunning wedding venue in Anglesey - talk about a hidden gem! My first time posting a video so fingers crossed!! #alternativewedding #alternativeceremony #alternativebride #alternativecelebrant #handfasting #outdoorwedding #outdoorceremony #diywedding #Celebrant #celebrantontour #celebrantinwales #itstartswithyou #somuchmorethanjustacelebrant #waterside wedding #beautifulboathouse
There's probably a clever way of doing this but until I find it here's a brief clip of the fabulous wedding I conducted at The Green Man Festival yesterday for the most amazing festival loving couple (as seen on ITV Wales News) ! What a day! #festivalwedding #festivalceremony #alternativebride #alternativewedding #alternativeceremony #alternativecelebrant #celebrantinsouthwales #celebrantontour #handfasting #somuchmorethanjustacelebrant #westartwithyou
Behind the Scenes Chat with Wendy Stratton
One of the first places that couples look for inspiration when they become engaged are wedding magazines - either in printed form of more recently in digital format. Wendy has set up and runs @Matrimony Magazine as well as co-ordinating the Matrimony Magazine Awards and we're going to chat about how and why she decided to do this, and what she sees the role of bridal magazines to be. Who knows quite where this conversation will go - why not join us to find out! All your questions and comments are most welcome if you are able to join us live, and if you're watching the recording we will also respond to any of your comments as soon as we can! Hope to see you there!
Behind the Scenes Chat with Bryan Gunton
This time I'm delighted to be joined by Bryan Gunton Event Magician - though quite how many tricks of the trade and how much behind the scenes knowledge I'm going to get is a bit in question as The Magic Circle have very strict rules! Magicians have become a huge thing in wedding entertainment over recent years and I'm hoping that Bryan will give us some ideas of the different types of magic and styles of magician that are available, and how you can chose someone who matches what you want at your special day. Whether he will have anything up his sleeve for us on Tuesday I don't know, but I don't think I've ever spent time with any magician when their hands aren't fiddling with a pack of cards so we shall see! All your questions and comments are most welcome if you are able to join us live, and if you're watching the recording we will also respond to any of your comments as soon as we can! Hope to see you there!
Behind the Scenes Chat with Bethan Trevett
The twelfth Behind the Scenes chat and this one promises to be fascinating! I'm chatting with Bethan Trevett of Wonderbar about everything to do with drinks at your wedding! Whether it's the latest cocktails or which Gin's would work best in your Gin Ceremony (you'll have to watch to find out more about this!) Whether you're looking for advice about the legality of running your own bar, working out how much you need to allow per person or how to choose a mobile bar we will be covering it all. Don't know if there will be any tasters coming my way, but I can live in hope! As always your questions are more than welcome whether you're able to join us live or if you're watching later. I can't wait to find out more, so why not come and join us!
Behind the Scenes Chat with Carol Knight
The eleventh Behind the Scenes chat and I'm mixing things up a little bit again as this time I'm chatting to Carol Knight who is the Wedding & Event Co-ordinator at the lovely Glen Yr Afon House Hotel in Usk. We're going to be talking about what happens behind the scenes at the hotel, what her role is before and on the day and maybe we'll get some tips about things to check when you're looking for your venue for your special day. As always your questions are more than welcome whether you're able to join us live or if you're watching later. I can't wait to find out more, so why not come and join us!
Behind the Scenes Chat with Alix Jones & Sam Eyles
The tenth Behind the Scenes chat and this one has a bit of a twist! I'm talking to Alix Jones of Flashback Photography and Sam Eyles of Samantha Jayne Wedding Designs and Sew Sam Alterations who together run Bells & Whistles Bridal Boutique and The Welsh Wedding Planners! Confused? Come along and find out more on Tuesday at 7 and feel free to answer questions about more or less anything! I'm really intrigued to find out how it all started, why they decided to go down so many paths and how this works for couples. Hope you're free to join me because I think I might have my hands full!
Behind the Scenes Chat with Ashlee Warfield
Following a bit of an issue last week we've moved this, the ninth in my series of Behind the Scenes chats to this Tuesday - sorry for any confusion but sometimes life happens to us all doesn't it? Ashlee is a video creator at Warfie Media and we will be talking about all aspects of wedding videos. I'm interested to find out more about how improvements in personal technology (mobile phones) have impacted on videographers and what couples can and should now expect? If you want to know what things you should take into account when you're looking for someone to create a video of your special day, or how you can get the best out of them then this chat is a must. Feel free to ask any questions live or afterwards if you're watching later. I hope you can join us!
Behind the Scenes Chat with Cover'd Up Wedding & Party Band
I can't believe this will be the eighth Behind the Scenes Chat and this one promises to be exciting and challenging in equal measure as I'm meeting with all five members of Cover'd Up - Wedding & Party Band at the same time! Don't know if I'll get a word in (which is unusual for me) but I'm pretty sure our conversation will be interesting, informative and entertaining! Don't know if they will suddenly break into song (not easy) but they have promised to let me into the secrets of how they prepare for a wedding, who decided on the playlist and how to make sure you get the right band for your special day! Hope you're able to join us live - slightly later this time as we're juggling so many people's schedules - and to join in with the conversations! Your questions are always welcome!
Behind the Scenes Chat with Hannah Hill
In the seventh of my series of Behind the Scenes chats with Wedding Suppliers I'm Talking to Hannah Hill of LIFESTYLISH and I Can guarantee that we'll have a lot to talk about! Hannah is a stylist who offers her services to couples for their wedding days. She says "All too often people reach for the big white dress and traditional suit for their wedding wardrobe because it’s the done thing, but why shouldn’t you put your own style into what you’re wearing on your big day?" As a bride who wore blue velvet and threatened to wear Dr Martens I'm all for a bit of individuality so I'm really looking forward to finding out more about how this service can work for couples. All questions more than welcome!
