It's market time again and this time we're heading to Providero Tea & Coffee House - Llandudno for the first of our festive markets with The Artisan Market Company ✨

We will have dried flower bouquets, dried flower baubles for your tree and of course our wreath in a box kits which are everything you need to make your own wreath for your door this year. Plus it's the grand return of our extremely popular pressed flower frames. Last year these sold out on the first market they went too- so you better be quick!

So if your Christmas pressie shopping, or just wanting a Saturday afternoon mooch come and see us from 10am- 4pm!

✨Come and join one of our 2024 Christmas wreath workshops✨

These are the highlights of our year on the flower farm but this time we're going further afield with dates also at Providero Tea & Coffee House - Llandudno as well!!

In each workshop we will show you how to create the most beautiful eco-friendly mixed foliage wreath to hang on your door all festive season long, complete with all the dried fruit, ribbons and baubles you can fit on it! Plus each workshop wouldn't be complete without a mince pie and a warming glass of mulled wine while jigging along to Christmas tunes in front of the Christmas tree🎄

Who needs colour when you have all the textures of our pampas bouquet!!🪶 (Although we do make them colourful too!)

Each one is made completely bespoke for you so it will fit in with your aesthetics perfectly! Just send me inspo pics of your vase or room and we will create you a personalised design to waft In a light breeze and add warmth and texture to any space. We're back at Wrexham's Monthly Street Market tomorrow✨

This is the last time we will be in Wrexham before Christmas, so if you want to treat yourself to a beautiful dried bouquet, or even get prepared for Christmas and get one as a present, tomorrow is your one and only opportunity!

I can't believe it's reached that time of the year again where we send out our last deliveries of fresh flowers for the year😭

Despite a VERY difficult growing season (which I'm sure any of you who have a garden will be well aware of) the flowers have flowered their little socks off and it's always sad to say goodbye to them... But it's time to prep the beds and get planting ready for next spring 🌱

At least the last bouquet to go out was an absolute stunner!! Until next year fresh flowers👋🏼

A beautiful autumn wreath that headed off to it's forever home yesterday🍂

It's World Mental Health day. We are very privileged to work in an industry where our flowers can quite literally brighten someone's day, so we want to help by giving you the chance to bring a smile to a friend or family member who may need a bit of a pick me up at the moment.

So this Saturday we will be delivering one of our Seasonal handtieds completely free of charge to someone who would benefit from the joys of a flower delivery.

If you know someone who could really use a bouquet of flowers at the moment comment a '💜' by 1pm Friday. We will then choose one of you who commented at random and private message you to find out the name and address of your chosen person.

We have a brand new member to our team... Meet Julius!!

At just 16 years old, Julius has come over from Germany to live with us for a year as he wanted to study for his A levels abroad. His studying biology, business studies and maths (let's hope he doesn't need any help with homework as we will all be useless aha).

As Chloe has started University, Julius has very kindly chosen to take her spot and join our team on his day off from college washing the buckets and making hay wreaths ready for all our workshops this year! You might even see him on a market or 2 so if you do, pop over and say 'Guten tag'🇩🇪

I always find October to be a very strange time of year.

The nights drawing in and cosy evenings are very welcomed, but as a flower farmer you start to feel slightly redundant...

The busy buzz of the farm in summer fades, and instead of spending 90% of my time picking flowers or arranging them, this switches to 10% with 90% of my time now spent sat indoors doing paperwork (not ideal when you love being creative.)

The farm also starts to slowly shut down around you, as the annuals bloom their last and the perennials start going into hibernation ready for winter. The leaves all fall off the hedges making the whole area look very barren and lacking in life and everything you have spent all year nurturing suddenly just disappears.

But this year I am determined to embrace this time of year. It's a chance for us to take stock of the wins and losses of summer, plan how we will move forwards next year and most importantly I need to learn the art of rest.

Does anyone else have these feelings in autumn or is it just me?

We're so excited to be back tomorrow with The Artisan Market Company at their vintage market in Providero Tea & Coffee House - Llandudno!

We will have our first dried flowers of the season and a make your own floral hair comb mini workshop, as well as the last of our fresh flowers and ranunculus corms so pop down and see us!

There will also be lots of other artisans, vintage clothes and even a DJ so it's going to be a great evening✨

2pm- 8pm tomorrow (Saturday) £2 entry (🐶are welcome too)

The last few days have felt like summer has fallen off a cliff and autumn has hit us slap bang in the face... But we're refusing to let go of the colours of summer just yet!

Tomorrow we're back on the road and heading to Conwy Honey Fair with a truck load of our autumn blooms in all the shades of pink, peach and maroon so come and say hi for a bouquet of flowers to brighten your day💐

We will also have the exclusive release (it will still be a few weeks before they're available on our website) of our special cut flower grade Ranunculus corms ready to autumn plant into your garden. So if you want to beat the crowds and have some stunning ranunculus to pick next spring, pop down to see us!

It's the last month of our subscription flowers for 2024!!!

If you want to receive a beautiful bouquet of flowers picked fresh from the farm and delivered every week to your door through September like Jane, you have to sign up by Midnight tomorrow (Tuesday night).

Is anyone else fed up with this wind and just wants the sun back?

It's always a nerve racking moment when you wake up in the morning after a windy night and you just hope the flowers all survived and didn't get blown away.

Thankfully this morning we only lost a couple of branches of flowers. I scooped them up off the floor and cut the stems into a bucket of water so hopefully we have saved them. The wind looks like it's set to stay until early next week so fingers crossed🤞🏼 we don't have any more casualties.

Finally a little bit of sun🌞 The weather so far this Spring has been wet, wet and more wet! But the one good thing about wet weather, is that our ducks absolutely love it! Here are Benny and Bjorn having a fantastic time on the 🌧️ flower farm yesterday. Look at those wagging tails! Although they are obviously gorgeous boys, it’s not just their cuteness which makes them useful to us on the flower farm. They also act as completely natural pest control. Some growers may be forced to use chemical pesticides in order to keep slugs, snails and insects off of their plants, but this then ends up in the food chain, where birds digest the poisoned slugs which then poisons them too! So by using our fabulous ducks for this, instead of the usual pesticides, it’s just another way which we are trying to be more environmentally friendly🌱
