It's 🔵Blue Monday🔵 which is meant to be the most depressing day of the year... Gee thanks whoever invented that, just what we need in January!!

We want to change the meaning of Blue Monday though, and instead of dwelling on all the reasons that we're sad it's still winter, we want to celebrate all the new signs of spring that are popping up all over our flower farm!

All the signs of new life🌱 that even though it's cold and grey and drizzly today, nature has still given us this amazing promise that better times are just around the corner🌞

So this Blue Monday instead of feeling sad, let's fill our feeds and stories with all the signs of spring! Pop on your rain coat and head into your garden to find your signs from nature and let's share them with each other to banish away these winter blues even just for 1 day. Don't forget to tag us in your photos as we would love to see your signs from nature as well 🌱

One of my favourite jobs of the new year is going back through all the stunning professional photos from our weddings the year before!

I don't know if it's just me or if other creatives find this, but once I've finished a wedding I just can't look at the photos straight away... If I do I always notice the bits I wanted to improve or change and that's all I can see. I just remember all the nightmares we had along the way, the blooms that wilted or shattered on me just before the wedding and the exhaustion I felt after I finished. But by the new year that's all forgotten and instead I see the photos as everyone else sees them... A beautiful image of a happy couple celebrating their love for each other in front of their family and friends!

Looking back puts my rose tinted glasses back on and so that's why it's my favourite activity of the new year. It reminds me why I love what I do so much and fills me with excitement for the weddings we are planning this year.

We have had a lovely christmas break spending time with family but now we're back and so excited to see what 2025 holds🌼

Well that's it... Our order books are now closed for another year❄️

We have lots of deliveries heading out today and a few last minute collections tomorrow along with our final workshop of the year before me and Karen head into hibernation to start planning for 2025!!

Before we get into the mayhem of Christmas I just want to say a MASSIVE THANK YOU to everyone who supports us as a small business. Being just Karen and I, every single order, like or follow really does mean the world to us. So from the bottom of our hearts, thank you so much for an incredible year! We hope you all have a restful and joyous Christmas with your loved ones✨

I've been waiting for what seems like a lifetime to post these pics as I've been so excited to share them... Congratulations to Katie and Andy who got married over the weekend in a STUNNING winter wedding❄️

I've known Katie since I was in Primary School so it was extra special to create the flowers from our own Welsh grown beauties for her to carry down the aisle, and especially as they are in one of my favourite colour schemes ever!!!

We hope you both have a lifetime of happiness together🧡

Well what a windy weekend that was! I hope you're all okay and didn't have too much damage. We're currently without power or wifi thanks to Darragh so I'm really sorry if we're a bit slower replying than usual. It turns out nothing works properly nowadays without WiFi or electricity🙈 The good news is though the poly tunnel is still standing!!!

Thanks to the wind we also had to cancel our last wreath workshop, so lots of pre-made wreaths and kits are going out the door in the next few days instead.

If you still want a wreath this year it's not too late to order. This is our last week of wreath making before we move onto table centres so send us a message to order your wreath or kit for delivery later this week🎄

❗This weekend is extremely windy❗

Make sure to take your wreaths indoors and store them in a cool place away from draught or direct heat over the weekend.

Then on Monday they can be sprayed with a bit of water to hydrate them and hung back outside where they will continue to look beautiful.

If your wreath is left outside over this weekend best case is it will more than likely get damaged and foliage blown out of them as they are not designed to sustain 70mph winds. Worst case, your wreath could blow away completely so do look after them.

It's been so nice keeping warm indoors for the last few days with a cup of tea while creating our new Christmas Garlands.

Each one is completely unique and handmade on a silk ribbon adorned with seasonal dried fruits and our Welsh grown dried flowers🌼

I'm so excited to take them to the next few markets, but if you wanted to snap them up before that, they are now live on our website! Remember each one is one of a kind so when it's gone... It's gone!

It's market time again and this time we're heading to Providero Tea & Coffee House - Llandudno for the first of our festive markets with The Artisan Market Company ✨

We will have dried flower bouquets, dried flower baubles for your tree and of course our wreath in a box kits which are everything you need to make your own wreath for your door this year. Plus it's the grand return of our extremely popular pressed flower frames. Last year these sold out on the first market they went too- so you better be quick!

Finally a little bit of sun🌞 The weather so far this Spring has been wet, wet and more wet! But the one good thing about wet weather, is that our ducks absolutely love it! Here are Benny and Bjorn having a fantastic time on the 🌧️ flower farm yesterday. Look at those wagging tails! Although they are obviously gorgeous boys, it’s not just their cuteness which makes them useful to us on the flower farm. They also act as completely natural pest control. Some growers may be forced to use chemical pesticides in order to keep slugs, snails and insects off of their plants, but this then ends up in the food chain, where birds digest the poisoned slugs which then poisons them too! So by using our fabulous ducks for this, instead of the usual pesticides, it’s just another way which we are trying to be more environmentally friendly🌱
