It's a beautiful April day here on the flower farm and the sun has brought with it a bumper harvest of our spring blooms🌞

So THIS WEEK ONLY we are offering mixed spring Tulip and Daffodil bunches for only £15 including local delivery!

Each bunch will include all our specialist and unique varieties of daffodils that you don't see elsewhere, along with beautiful double tulips which open up like a peony.

Our last delivery has gone out and that is a wrap on this years Mother's Day🌷

Thank you so so much to every single one of you who brought flowers from us this year to thank your mum's for the amazing women they are. We are so grateful you trusted us with such an important gift and we loved making every single one of your bouquets!

At fresh in bloom we try to always use what's seasonal and British grown not flown, so a massive shout out to the incredible British growers Smith and Munson for all the stunning tulips and Flowers By Clowance for supplementing our Welsh grown flowers. We couldn't make beautiful bouquets without amazing flowers so thank you!

I am off now for a VERY large gin and a lie down in a dark room to recover before we're back at it next week!

A lot has been going on behind the scenes this year over winter. We have a brand new daffodil bed which should be providing us with unusual varieties of daffs in a few weeks time... but the biggest addition is our new member of the team and florist!

Everyone meet Charlotte🌞 She is our new florist in residence and will be taking over creating all your orders and funeral work. If you wanted to meet Charlotte she will be at The Artisan Market Company market at Providero Tea & Coffee House - Llandudno next Saturday (22nd March) with me so pop down and say hi!

We have all the normal favourites with our selection of British and Welsh grown spring bouquets. Plus for this year we have the new additions of these cute spring vase arrangements, which are just the perfect gift from any small human for their mum🌷

It's 🔵Blue Monday🔵 which is meant to be the most depressing day of the year... Gee thanks whoever invented that, just what we need in January!!

We want to change the meaning of Blue Monday though, and instead of dwelling on all the reasons that we're sad it's still winter, we want to celebrate all the new signs of spring that are popping up all over our flower farm!

All the signs of new life🌱 that even though it's cold and grey and drizzly today, nature has still given us this amazing promise that better times are just around the corner🌞

So this Blue Monday instead of feeling sad, let's fill our feeds and stories with all the signs of spring! Pop on your rain coat and head into your garden to find your signs from nature and let's share them with each other to banish away these winter blues even just for 1 day. One of my favourite jobs of the new year is going back through all the stunning professional photos from our weddings the year before!

I don't know if it's just me or if other creatives find this, but once I've finished a wedding I just can't look at the photos straight away... If I do I always notice the bits I wanted to improve or change and that's all I can see. I just remember all the nightmares we had along the way, the blooms that wilted or shattered on me just before the wedding and the exhaustion I felt after I finished. But by the new year that's all forgotten and instead I see the photos as everyone else sees them... A beautiful image of a happy couple celebrating their love for each other in front of their family and friends!

Looking back puts my rose tinted glasses back on and so that's why it's my favourite activity of the new year. It reminds me why I love what I do so much and fills me with excitement for the weddings we are planning this year.

Well that's it... Our order books are now closed for another year❄️

We have lots of deliveries heading out today and a few last minute collections tomorrow along with our final workshop of the year before me and Karen head into hibernation to start planning for 2025!!

Before we get into the mayhem of Christmas I just want to say a MASSIVE THANK YOU to everyone who supports us as a small business. Being just Karen and I, every single order, like or follow really does mean the world to us. So from the bottom of our hearts, thank you so much for an incredible year! I've been waiting for what seems like a lifetime to post these pics as I've been so excited to share them... Congratulations to Katie and Andy who got married over the weekend in a STUNNING winter wedding❄️

I've known Katie since I was in Primary School so it was extra special to create the flowers from our own Welsh grown beauties for her to carry down the aisle, and especially as they are in one of my favourite colour schemes ever!!!

Finally a little bit of sun🌞 The weather so far this Spring has been wet, wet and more wet! But the one good thing about wet weather, is that our ducks absolutely love it! Here are Benny and Bjorn having a fantastic time on the 🌧️ flower farm yesterday. Look at those wagging tails! Although they are obviously gorgeous boys, it’s not just their cuteness which makes them useful to us on the flower farm. They also act as completely natural pest control. Some growers may be forced to use chemical pesticides in order to keep slugs, snails and insects off of their plants, but this then ends up in the food chain, where birds digest the poisoned slugs which then poisons them too! So by using our fabulous ducks for this, instead of the usual pesticides, it’s just another way which we are trying to be more environmentally friendly🌱
