💚🌎What actually is a Preloved Clothing Sale? 👗👟For those who haven’t been to one of our events before, let us explain. It’s simple enough, really. We chose a name that kind of “does what it says on the tin” deliberately, but there’s a bit more to it. Yes, it’s an event where preloved/second-hand clothing, shoes and accessories are sold. But where does this lovely stuff come from? 🤔As the event organisers, we find fabulous and friendly people who want to sell their preloved items and we provide a venue for these individual sellers to sell them. So what makes us different to a car boot sale? We are glad you asked. A lot, really. 💚 1. We stipulate that the items have to be in excellent condition, be presented neatly and well organised to provide an enjoyable browsing and buying experience for buyers. 💚 2. The pricing will also be different in most cases. The prices of the clothes should be fair to the buyer and to the seller. Their clothes have been well maintained, are excellent quality and they’ve taken time and money to make sure they’re presented nicely so the prices will reflect that. You’ll still be able to get yourself some fabulous bargains at a fraction of the original price, however most are unlikely to be as cheap as a car boot sale.💚 3. It’s inside the beautiful Roysse Room, Guildhall, that has ornate ceilings in the very centre of Abingdon-on-Thame. It provides a gorgeous backdrop for your shopping and selling experience.We work alongside @1planetabingdon our local climate change charity, to spread the word about how cool second-hand shopping is, not just for your style and your bank account, but for our wonderful planet too. 🌎🍃🌿🌳🐬🐠🌊🦊🐿️🐹The entrance fee is just £1.50 and you can pay on card HOWEVER not all sellers will have card machines so bring cash too!
