Ample parking on site and in a car park adjacent. We have maintained some Covid safety measures for the safety of all customers, artists and staff and because we are an all standing venue and people will be in very close proximity to one another. We have commissioned a powerful extraction system that renews the air in the room 12 times an hour, double the recommended for Covid protection. We reque

st all persons attending our gigs provide proof of double vaccination OR proof of a negative Covid test of either type a max of 48hrs prior to the gig OR that they have a letter or card or certification of some kind that they cannot be vaccinated for medical reasons.

Sadly we have today had to take the decision to cancel the Jagged Little Alanis (Alanis Morissette) tribute show. Ticket sales were so low it was simply not fair on the band, the promoter or the venue to go ahead. We are desperately sorry for the small number of people who supported the gig but the losses all concerned were going to take just made things impossible. All ticket holders have already been refunded

We are delighted to announce Yamaha Music Europe (UK) has come on board as one of our two back-line sponsors for Prog For Peart. The incredible people at Yamaha, and specifically Jason Allum from the Drum Division, have donated a Yamaha Stage Custom (birch) drum kit to Prog For Peart WITH all the hardware.
Organiser Mark Cunningham said "I am overjoyed to let everyone know that Prog For Peart is now sponsored by Yamaha who have donated a complete kit to the festival. As any drummer will tell you, Yamaha kits are renowned world-wide for their quality and innovation and we can only thank them and Jason for stepping up and providing a Stage Custom kit that we will be using for many years to come."
Prog For Peart is a two-day music festival set up in memory of the late drummer for Rush, Neil Peart. The event is now in its fourth year and donates all proceeds to brain cancer research. Fourteen bands will perform over the weekend of July 12th & 13th with neo prog stalwarts Galahad headlining on the Friday and the peerless IO Earth headlining on the Saturday night.

Our Story

Now well established on the scene The Northcourt is Abingdon's only regular music venue and is located on the corner of Oxford Road and Northcourt Road and based at Abingdon United FC. Live bands playing twice a month chosen from some of the best regional and national artists including tribute bands, original artists and covers bands. We have a great regular and enthusiastic audience who love their live music so do come along and join in all the fun.

We welcome contact from young local bands playing original material and will always try and provide good quality bands with support slots Please note, though we try to provide some seating purchase of a ticket does NOT guarantee any seating in the performance room since The Northcourt is a standing venue. There is ample seating in the lounge bar area.
