Jessica wanted to customise her shop bought wedding dress by adding some black details. I suggested changing the corset ties and loops at the back from ivory to black satin and replacing the central lace motif at the front for a black beaded motif. I think it added that subtle touch without it being too overpowering. Doesn’t she look stunning.

She also wanted a dress made for her daughter to compliment hers, so we found a sequinned tulle similar to the one used on Jessica’s dress underneath the lace tulle. We also found a black tulle embroidered with tiny black and silver flowers to bring in the black theme and as Jessica’s corset tie was a bit too long, what I cut off I used as the waistband on her daughters dress. Lastly the black motif came as a pair so they had the same motif on each dress to match one another.

I had the pleasure of making Angela’s dress for her wedding to Jack in September. Angela knew what style she wanted and decided to have the base of the dress made in a blush satin with a beautiful ivory and silver thread embroidered lace in a leafy design over the top. I absolutely loved making this dress and it was lovely getting to know Angela and Jack. Thank you for the lovely photos and for trusting me with your dress.

Last year I had the pleasure of making Grace a beaded lace top and a pair of chiffon palazzo trousers for her daughter’s wedding. She had the chance to wear the outfit again at another wedding this year and came back to me to make a skirt to go with the lace top. What a great way to re-use an outfit.

Wendy was such a lovely bride. Her dress was a perfect style and just needed a little tweak to the top of the bodice for a perfect fit.
She looks so happy being walked down the aisle with her son.

I helped Steph with her wedding dress alterations a few years ago so it was so nice to help her again with alterations to her bridesmaids dress. She looks stunning

Jade came to me with her Asos dress that needed a few adjustments to the bodice and the hems shortened for that all important perfect fit. We also added a bustle for the train for the reception (shown in the last photo).
Such a lovely dress. And what a stunning bride.

I had the absolute pleasure of making a beautiful floral dress for Irina to wear to her daughter’s wedding in Spain in August. Due to the hot weather she really wanted a dress made from silk and blue is one of her favourite colours. So I found this gorgeous floral crepe du chine that she absolutely loved. The dress had a cowl neck front with a full skirt joined at the waistline with a V detail. Doesn’t she just look stunning.

It was such an honour to win the Guides for Brides Customer Service Award 2025 in the Bridalwear category.
The awards evening was such a great event full of very talented and passionate people.

The 2025 Guides for Brides Customer Service Awards celebrate wedding businesses that provide exceptional customer service. Winners were unveiled on 27th March at Oxford Town Hall, with the event also supporting Helen & Douglas House.

As it is our 20th wedding anniversary I thought it would be a fun idea this afternoon to get my wedding dress out of it’s box.
I had forgotten just how beautiful it is. You can’t see any if the embroidery or beading in the wedding photos which I always thought was a great shame so I thought I’d take some pictures of her on the stand to show you all the beautiful details.
Yes I can still get in it. My husband came home whilst I had it on and didn’t recognise it😂😂
No I didn’t make it. I found one I loved in a shop in Witney called Fairytale. Sadly it is no longer there. It was one of their in house labels so was made by a local seamstress who also did all of their alterations. I wonder who she was. I was doing theatre work at the time and had no idea I would get into the wedding industry. I knew if I had tried to make it I would have ended up hating it so was pleased when I found one I loved
