Theatre at home (Dogstar came to the hall in 2018)

🎭💻🎭💻DOGSTAR THEATRE ONLINE 🎭💻🎭💻

We are excited to let you know that Dogstar Theatre Online will launch on Monday 11th May, starting with our most successful production, The Tailor of Inverness, being made available to watch online.

With over 275 performances and seen by over 40,000 people in 12 countries since opening at the 2008 Edinburgh Festival Fringe, The Tailor of Inverness has taken its place as one of the great Scottish theatre productions.

And not only will we be making The Tailor of Inverness available, Dogstar Theatre Online will also release Brian Ross’s beautiful, moving documentary, 'Circling a Fox', produced by Hopscotch Films UK. Brian’s film follows Dogstar as we toured with the play in Poland and Ukraine. It also features video and audio recordings of Matthew’s father and footage from the Highlands and the first trip of discovery to Ukraine in 2003.

These film and theatre experiences will be available via Vimeo On Demand, for a cost of £3 to view or £8 to download. More news of our other productions being added to Dogstar Theatre Online will be coming soon too! 😄

Watch The Tailor of Inverness here - https://vimeo.com/ondemand/thetailorofinverness

Watch Circling A Fox here - https://vimeo.com/ondemand/circlingafox

We hope that you will enjoy the opportunity to relive these productions or enjoy them for the very first time online! Thank you for your continued support, especially with this, a new and exciting venture for all of us at Dogstar Theatre. 😁

✨Delighted to have picked up Scots Singer of the Year at MG Alba Scots Trad Music Awards last night! ✨

Thanks to everyone who voted, every lovely human who supported me, the singers who have shared their songs and encouragement with me. A big thanks to all the people and promoters “behind the scenes” running folk clubs and shows, because without them, we all wouldn’t be here and have a such a braw scene!

2018 was everything I could have wished for; lots of lovely gigs, album release and my last year of university. A braw but exhausting year, touring 9 times with tonsilitis. Taking some time off in December for a much needed tonsilectimy but my NEW EP is out in January. Pre-order here: bit.ly/2PY0eKh

Thanks to Simon Thoumire and abdy at Hands Up for Trad for a brilliant night!
