Moving into 2025 - the first post of the year. I want to reiterate the importance of self worth, belief, confidence and being YOU is just as special.
So many influences these days on social media that influence children into thinking if you aren’t like that you are simply ‘not the best’ and it goes against everything I believe in. Your journey and how you get there is all that matters. When you have a career whether it’s in dance or something completely different, no one will ever ask you how you got there and it won’t matter. The only thing that will matter is how you represent yourself in that moment and if you are kind, well mannered, respectful, courageous, hard working and have the best self belief - you will rise and be a champion. Qualities like those will with stand any storm and one day when you are side by side doing exactly the same as those who took a different path - you will be so glad you took your own and stayed true to yourself. You will know it didn’t matter and you wasted so much time and energy ever thinking it did.
Be proud, be unique, be you !

Just like that - another year over ! I’m sure there are so many more memories we have all made together throughout 2024 so I’ve just chosen a snippet.Thankyou to every single person who has in anyway shaped us into the studio we are today - whether student, parent, friend, helper, teacher, colleague - every single person is valued and appreciated. Without support we wouldn’t be a studio. I look forward to what 2025 will bring for us all in our 18th year 😱I wish all of our families a very Happy and most importantly Healthy New Year 💜Miss Katie x

We are now closed for the Christmas break and we re -open Monday 6th January.

I will be on emails in between to catch up on a few bits. If you do want to cancel lessons for January our deadline has now passed as we do require 2 weeks notice. If you would like to add or make a change to your classes, please let us know of any changes. All invoices will be sent at the end of December.

Parents of students who have rehearsals/filming 2nd and 3rd January - I have sent you a message of details.

On behalf of all of our teachers - I would just like to say a huge Thankyou for all the lovely cards, presents, chocolate etc we have so kindly received. We are so appreciative of all the gestures especially at a time when everything is so expensive. It means so much to us that you have gone the extra mile to include us.

All that’s left to say - is we wish you all a really Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year …

Wow what a performance !!! Thankyou so much your lovely friends for their spectacular elf adventure ! Our students learnt how it’s important to be kind to one another and use your manners through a spectacular dialogue and then joined in with games aswell as being an elf ! I’ve never seen so much enthusiasm from age 3-11 - every age group absolutely loved it!!!
What a fantastic Christmas party - we had games and music, prizes, our elf adventure and not to mention food and drink….. lots of sleepy elves tonight.

What a way to end our dance year of 2024!!

We have just completed our Christmas Showcase - this was just a snippet of what they have learnt over the term. It wasn’t planned to be a big show but the girls heard stage - turned on their smiles, their energy went into overdrive and they absolutely shone on stage this evening.
We have come full circle - pre schools first time on stage, minis first all day performances and seniors having their last Christmas show ….

I often hear of other achievements but for me - we have achieved more than anything with what we have created at the studio. Senior students who have spent all weekend helping the younger students, getting on stage to support our SEN children really knowing the routines but wanted to help and build their confidence, students learning all pre schools first routines to go on stage and assist backstage, the ladies who come back time after time to help - and our team of teachers who support, nurture and care about the students just as much as you all do ….
It’s a bit cliche but we have built our own dance community and I wouldn’t swap it for the world. When you see over 100 children, eating lunch, playing, chatting and just hanging out together whether they are 4 or 18 - you know you have and continue to build and safe, supportive and friendly community where not only do they look after each other but they are just insanely talented. Today was about 4-6 weeks work - when you say it like that, you can see just how far they have all come.

I am one proud principal this evening - all of the children make my heart burst.
Thankyou to all of our team - my teachers are just amazing and Thankyou to the parents for trusting us with your child’s dance journey and allowing my crazy ideas to come to life on stage.

What do we get up to?

Welcome to Ktz Dance - we are now opening up our classes for the last time before our Christmas Show rehearsals begin. This is your last chance to join our weekly classes (pre school are an exception) before we close our new places until January!! This is Halloween!!! We haven’t really done many social non dance events in the past - there’s always been something going on BUT this year I listened to what we all wanted and I’m making it happen.Movie night for our older students - hot dogs, crisps, chocolate cake and popcorn with of course a pass the parcel 🙄 Then we have had 2 separate parties for our minis and juniors … plenty of dancing, disco lights, party games and of course sweeties !!The costumes were amazing 🎃 We hope everyone has had the best time just being with friends and having fun 👻
