Leigh passed away peacefully on Friday 20th December 2024 at Monklands Hospital, surrounded by her loving family.

The family and friends of Janey Godley would like to invite everyone to The Royal Mile in Edinburgh for Janey’s final farewell to the city she loved.

The hearse will travel down The Royal Mile towards St Giles Cathedral, where we will pause for reflection and to hear the 100-piece Sound House Choir & friends sing.

The hearse will continue turning left onto Cockburn Street and then left onto Market Street for her final journey back to her home of Glasgow.

Karen passed away peacefully on Tuesday 19th November 2024 at Monklands Hospital.

For anyone wishing to pay their last respects we shall be travelling where once stood The Clansman Inn (Caldercruix) The funeral cortege will arrive around 11.15 am from there we will proceed to the crematorium.

Edward passed away peacefully on Wednesday 30th October 2024 at Hairmyres Hospital.

If anyone wants to pay there respects we shall be passing Airdrie Leisure Center around 3:00 where Eddie spend alot of time there then onto the Crematorium for the service.

With the kind permission of Dr Janey Godley’s family we would like to announce that we have the honour of taking care of Janey on her final journey.

As you may know, Janey passed away peacefully on the 2nd November at the Prince and Princess of Wales Hospice, Glasgow surrounded by her loved ones. Janey, aged 63 was a much loved wife to Sean, devoted mum to Ashley, dearly loved by her friends and by all who knew her.

Two days prior to her death, Janey received an Honorary Doctorate from Glasgow University for her contribution to Creative Arts and Cancer Awareness.

Janey will return to Edinburgh one last time before going to her hometown of Glasgow and full details are listed below if you wish to say goodbye.

No flowers please. Janey asked that we make donations in lieu of flowers to The Prince and Princess of Wales Hospice or a charity of your choice. Arrangements are as follows:

Friday 29th November at 2.30pm
Janey’s hearse will visit Edinburgh to say goodbye to her much loved second home taking the following route:
Lawnmarket heading down the Royal Mile towards St Giles Cathedral where we will pause for reflection. Turn left on to Cockburn Street then left on to Market Street for her final journey home to Glasgow.

Saturday 30th November at 10am
St Mary’s Cathedral, Great Western Road, Glasgow G4 9JB

Funeral Service at the Cathedral after which Janey’s hearse will proceed along the following route to Glasgow Crematorium for a private committal.

From Cathedral along Great Western Road towards St Georges Cross Underground. Turning left on to Maryhill Road then right on to Lochburn Road towards Crematorium for 12noon.
