Thank you so so much to everyone who purchased flowers for Mother’s Day. It was an incredibly busy few days in the run up as well, with workshops, funerals and then a wedding!

I am so very grateful to all of you for your continued support.

With just one pair of hands, the hours that go into my business are immense, so a huge thank you to my husband Paul, who became delivery driver, tea maker, sweeperuper, and my biggest supporter and believer.

I want to thank everyone for their kind words following my post about my Dad’s passing on Saturday and also to say thank you so much to everyone who has donated so far to my latest challenge.

Even though my head is all over the place, I am so pleased that we reached 80% of our target needed yesterday for our Machu Picchu Trek in aid of Cancer Research UK. The date to reach this was today.

When I trained for and climbed Kilimanjaro in memory of my Mom, it really helped me to process everything. I am hoping that this will be the same now as I continue my training for Mach Picchu. I do find walking and hiking is really good for me in so many ways.

Raising money for CRUK is even more important to me now. My Dad had been receiving a new treatment that really did help to bring the levels of his Cancer down.

It’s really sad that I won’t be able to chat with Dad about my training and my adventure but I know he will be with me in some way, cheering me on.

Personal Post

I said goodbye to my Dad for the last time yesterday afternoon. After his year long battle with Cancer and illness complications, he passed away in hospital with both myself and my brother at his side.

It has been incredibly difficult juggling everything alongside running my business over the last year and now I need some time to just focus on family.

Please don’t worry if you have placed an ordered with me. This will still go ahead.
But for now I won’t be taking any new orders.

Wowzers!!!! You wonderful lot are clearly loved and cherished.

Thank you so much to every single one of you that purchased flowers for their loved ones and all of those that gave their other halves a nudge to come to me Petals By Sarah Louise, especially those that pre ordered as well.

I totally sold out. Those that went away empty handed and the few that couldn’t see the exact flower variety they wanted, please remember to order in advance. I am always happy to put together the perfect bouquet just for you but really do need to know what that is before you walk into the shop on Valentine’s Day.

So much time, planning, preparation and love goes into Valentine’s Day for me. So much more than just the day itself. But to see so many of you happy with your bespoke bouquets, means the absolute world.

Now don’t forget to enjoy your flowers for longer it helps to change the water and recut those stems every few days. It really does extend the vase life.

Time for the next exciting chapter of Petals By Sarah Louise

I have made the decision to continue running my floristry business from 16 Station Road, Albrighton as a ‘studio based’ florists.

What does this mean?

I will continue working from and running my florists from Albrighton but instead of running a shop with opening times, I will be open by arrangement only. This will be for collections, to arrange funeral flowers and for wedding consultations.

Can I order flowers for next day delivery?

If I can accommodate next day delivery, then I will. However, ordering more in advance is always advisable. I recommend placing your order by the Saturday for the upcoming week.

Can I order flowers for collection?

Yes. When placing your order, I will arrange with you the time you would like to collect.

Will you open the shop for peak periods?

Yes. In the run up to Valentine’s Day, Mother’s Day and Christmas, the shop will be open.

Why have you made this decision?

5 years ago I opened the shop in Albrighton. I had already been running Petals By Sarah Louise for many years as a studio based florist and this felt like the right next step. Over that time I have gained many more wonderful customers.

My customer base is vast and varied. Every single one of you is valued but unfortunately I just don’t have enough customers walking through the doors of my shop to maintain that side of my business. So now is the right time for this next step.
The majority of my customers have never visited my shop. They have supported me from the very start and continue to purchase from me. I am hopefully that this will remain the same as my business continues to grow. Those of you that do come into the shop, I am more than happy to chat with you about the changes and how I can continue to meet your flower requirements.

I am feeling incredibly excited for this next chapter and I’d like to thank each and every one of you for your continued support as my business carries on growing.
