Adlington & District Coronation Celebrations

Sharing all the events taking place in Adlington and District for the Kings Coronation 6-8 May 2023 Please respect other members and the Admin team.

The aim of the group is to encourage and support events across the district to celebrate King Charles III Coronation, and the nation will engage in celebrations between 6-8 May 2023. The overall aim is to bring people together in a spirit of community and celebration to mark the occasion. The purpose of this online Facebook group is to keep people informed of what events are taking place, to share

relevant news and updates and to encourage people to join in and to provide a point of contact for anyone wanting to promote their own Coronation events, or to offer help, etc. Please refrain from advertising or promoting businesses, personal opinions or party politics. Exceptions might be made for charity events and if businesses are posting items relevant to the Coronation. The admin team retain the right to delete posts or threads as they see fit. Any posted images may be reposted or shared else where or retained for other uses. Thanks and enjoy!

Final event of celebrating the Coronation weekend today is in the library with craft activities and making your own crown 👑 at 10am

2pm - Service of Thanksgiving at St Pauls Church
Followed by the street party. Even if the weather is wet it will be held in St Pauls Church Club Adlington

Lighting up the Pike

From 8.30pm - 11pm on Saturday 6 and Sunday 6 May, Rivington Pike will be lit with a union flag to mark the historical occasion of the King's Coronation! Admire from afar or take an evening stroll to see the lights close up!
