Last week one of our corporate groups spent an afternoon volunteering on our grounds during their stay with us. Thank you for all the help removing and recycling these tree coverings! It was a great help to our Estate Manager 🙏

What a great day we had hosting the CHAS Income Generation and Engagement Directorate team this week. The morning was spent doing a team challenge run by In Your Element, followed by lunch from Regis Banqueting. In the afternoon there was a presentation about CHAS’ next big fundraising project. Ardoch's GM identified a little used paddock that was ideal for planting a native wood. The motivation for planting was to increase the biodiversity and the amount of native tree cover to improve local quality woodland habitat and increase opportunities for wildlife, including habitat connectivity. In the 0.8-hectare site, we have planted over 1000 trees with a mix of Alder, Bird Cherry, Goat Willow, Rowan, Scots Pine, Sessile Oak, Silver Birch, Wild Cherry, Blackthorn, Elder, Hawthorn, Hazel, and Holly. Thank you so much to all the volunteers who assisted and the team here at Ardoch Loch Lomond and the Children's Hospices Across Scotland (CHAS) Corporate Team. This has all been done in association with the Woodland Trust.
