Hi Guys ! Are you a florist, a plant enthusiast, a freelancer looking for some extra hours, studying floristry, or maybe semi-retired florist? We’d love to hear from you!

We’ve got shifts available at both our sale and Altrincham shops in the upcoming months. Just a heads up, the hours will be on an ad hoc basis to help us out with events, workshops, markets, holidays, and the wedding season. No commitment just as and when we need you !

Hey everyone! We’re back!

First off, Happy New Year! A huge thank you to everyone who supported us by buying from us, joining our workshops, or showing love through likes, shares, and reviews.

I can’t believe it’s already 2025! Last year had its challenges, but we also had some amazing moments—like winning the RHS 3 Star Gold, hosting Kokedama events at Tatton Park, and our sold-out workshops for wreaths and wedding flowers at some incredible venues (Whitworth is still my favorite!).

Looking ahead to 2025, we’ve got tons of new plans and ideas in the works. We’ll also face some tough choices to keep our small business thriving, but we’re ready to adapt as needed.

Remember, supporting small businesses in January is super important—it’s a tough month for us!

And just a heads up, Brexit has made it trickier to get flowers and plants into the UK, with border checks getting even more complicated. So if you have any needs, please keep that in mind.

A huge shoutout

A few words from Matt & Rowan

We just want to give a huge shoutout to everyone who joined us for our Christmas wreath workshops this year.

Our four sold-out events at .co were a fantastic success, and we want to extend our gratitude to Claire, Phil, Hannah, and Hannah for enhancing our curated experience for all our regulars, friends, new pals, and local businesses that made this event so much fun.

In between our events at .co, Rowan and I have been busy hosting corporate clients. We’ve traveled to nine cities and welcomed over 600 people in some of the UK’s most iconic buildings, working with some of the biggest brands and industry leaders.

We want to express our appreciation once more—while it may seem like we’re just keeping busy, and we truly are; we need your help and support in our shops.

Huge shoutout to Simi at for all the help with renewing our business insurance!

In this age of AI, algorithm and computer says no, it’s refreshing to have a real conversation about our policy with Simi, especially since ours is a bit more complicated than usual. Plus, has a physical location where you can actually talk to someone face-to-face instead of dealing with a call center.

Not only was the premium super competitive, but we also had a thorough discussion about our business needs and coverage options.

Big shout out to Morgan .ate.eventsmcr for her continued support.

This amazing female-led business just keeps getting better and is a huge supporter of local businesses. They focus on luxury picnics, grazing tables, and beautiful tablescapes, using as much local produce as they can.

Instead of going with big catering suppliers like Brakes (owned by global giant Sysco) or Booker (owned by Tesco) Morgan is out and about in Altrincham, Sale, and Didsbury, championing our fantastic independent businesses on event days.

So, if you’re planning an event at home or in the office, reach out! Not only is the food super Instagram-worthy, but it’s also incredibly tasty!

Let’s not hide behind a bunch of roses, the cheek of some people !

Another day and that online retailer returns, this time to the home of our Sale store where their actors and models park their bike up to suck you into buying their flower subscription. Got to say they are pretty convincing but thanks to our loyal customers and fellow indie traders in the square telling us off there arrival, believe me that they didn’t stay long, they didn’t have permission to trade on our private land nor where they welcome …. ON YOUR BIKE !

On a serious note, it is vital to support your local florist. This online retails strategy seems to park there bike outside florist and canvas for business. We know of 3 occasions in greater Manchester this month. Not very classy!

Running a physical store isn’t cheap, and without your support, the high street is at risk of disappearing! Don’t forget, our seasonal blooms are just £15, which is cheaper than any supermarket, and they’re crafted by our skilled florists.
