I’m sure you’ve seen this mentioned many times 🫶🏼

There’s a reason we are always advising this, if you are planning to buy a brand new wedding dress then you’ll need time for the following ⬇️

1. You’ll need time to research the boutique you’re planning to visit.

2. You’ll need time to try on and find the one, sometimes this happens quick, sometimes it’s the first dress & sometimes it can take a little while.

3. Once you’ve said yes and paid your deposit your dress will be ordered and it’s ’made - to - order’. Dresses aren’t just sitting around in a factory they are made once you order it.

4. These beautiful, detailed dresses are hand made. All that lace and sparkles are hand sewn on so as you can imagine this takes time.

5. 95% of the time wedding dresses are made abroad, so you’ll need time for shipping.

6. Although wedding dresses are made to order, they are made to a standard size chart so will almost definitely need alterations & tweaks to fit you perfectly!

All in all we recommend ordering your dress around 12-18 months before your wedding. Plus once you’ve chose your dress it means you can focus on your bridesmaids! ✨💗
