It's been a tad cold at our shop in the Lake District this week. Our flowers have been kept at a warmer temperature in our fridge! We have enjoyed the beautiful views, even though deliveries have been interesting ☺️

Joanne is happy today with the arrival of our stunning winter hellebores.

Some hellebores are known as Lenten or Christmas roses, which is because they flower from late winter through to spring. However, hellebores are not related to roses at all, instead, they are a part of the buttercup family.

We designed a contemporary winter floral display for The Spa at Low Wood Bay.

So much thought and planning went into this design; it flows from the wild winter forest adorned with icicles and glass tubes of winter foliage as you enter. Through to the waiting area where glass bells twinkle with gold stars from the ceiling. Why not take a seat in one of the large egg swings snuggled amongst a forest of mellow pinks and reds in the relaxation area. Bliss.

This week, Joanne has been busy making beautiful fireplace arrangements and very large wreaths for (Image of the wreath outside our shop and then in the window at Rothay Manor to show just how large they are!)

Imagine cosying up by the fire with the scent of fresh pine, holly and seasonal blooms filling the air. The jewelled apples, cones, lotus heads and rich burgundy ribbons catch the eye too.

Expert tuition and guidance is included from experienced florist Joanne from LilyLou's of Ambleside. All materials are included and choose ribbons and items to make a completely unique wreath based on your own colour scheme and style.

The workshop will take place .The fires will be lit and a festive afternoon tea will be ready at this beautiful country hotel. Look out across the gardens and sip mulled wine whilst you create. All for £65 per person.

Wow, what an amazing day I’ve had with my husband Simon. He is the love of my life, my rock, my best friend and most of all the father to my baby girl LilyLou 🥰 we spent the afternoon at Cumbria Crystal glass blowing with the lovely Amber-Rose, sorry if we got your name wrong 😑 and then had a lovely evening at the Langdale Chase where we had amazing conversation, recommendations and service from Bethan, George, Jess & Jack. Thank you to everyone for making our 19th wedding anniversary so so special and to LilyLou for the taxi service! 🥰🥰🙏🙏
