🙌This Saturday: Presentation & talk by iconic photographer Stuart Linden📸🏳️‍🌈🪩
Stuart Linden Rhodes established the instagram account during the lockdowns of 2020-21, scanning and digitising hundreds of photographs—primarily as a way to preserve his reportage photography for All Points North and Gay Times magazines, images that had been unseen for thirty years. The Archive has since gained a substantial following with its affectionate look back on the brash, thriving gay scene of the 1990s. An era in which the pink pound and LGBTQ+ clubbing came to prominence.
Stuart will talk us through some of his iconic archive images of northern q***r culture from the eighties & nineties! Think wigs, disco balls, pecs and pints! Plus there’ll be drinks and tunes and good vibes all round!
Ticket proceeds will go toward supporting the work of ***rcumbria providing visibility and voice for q***r people across the county.
The event is a chance to see a range of photographs from the q***r scene of the 1990’s across England and hear the stories behind them. From small pubs to club nights in Heaven and The Paradise Factory to Pride events in London and Manchester.

UPDATE: Belamour will now be joining our family a little bit later than originally expected...
She's developed a mouth infection this week and is on antibiotics. She may also need to have a few more teeth removed following her accident and facial reconstructive surgeries.
Both ourselves and Cat's Guidance Rescue want Belamour to be at full health before settling into her new home, so she will now be joining us later in the summer.❤️
Therefore, this week's opening hours will be our standard times👍

Introducing our newest adoptee, Belamour💛

Belamour will be joining us in July.
Since February she has been in the care of our wonderful friends Cat's Guidance Rescue who have brought her back to health following a serious accident that resulted in a broken jaw, a couple of facial fractrures, and loss of an eye.

Cat's Guidance Rescue have worked so to hard to give Belamour the chance to live that she deserved; from fundraising for her extensive facial surgeries, to tube-feeding her, and getting her through the toughest days. These guys are AMAZING!
If you are in the position to b**g them a quid and support the work they do, it would be very apprechiated!

This poor girl has been through so much and we are honoured to provide her with a loving home now that she is healed up.
She will be joining us from Tuesday 2nd July. The Bar & Shop will remain open every day that week. The Lounge will be closed from Tuesday 2nd to Friday 5th July so that our cat-family can get acquiainted.
