Specializing in smaller more intimate weddings we are ideally placed in the heart of the Lake District National Park to offer a world class location, in the heart of Wordsworth's romantic and stunning landscape, with direct lake shore access to Rydal Water, yet totally private too!

As you may have gleaned by now Steve and I run Cote How Lake District Weddings as our family business, living working and playing here full time. We fell in love with Cote How many years ago and are still finding amazing things about it's history, the people that have lived here over the last 500 years and the importance that Cote How played in the local community.
We have successfully developed Cote How into the unique wedding venue you see today and are pleased to have won our first award this year for Bridebook's UK Barn Venue of the year 2019!
We are blessed that we have old B&B and Tearoom customers who search us out when looking for their perfect venue, and as they already know how special this place is they know they want to be married here. Others find us by simply walking past our gates and staring longingly over the walls, wishing that gorgeous wedding taking place was theirs.
I also hear lots of enchanting tales of romantic proposals by the lake shores of Rydal Water or in Rydal Caves resulting in couples just having to tie the knot here too.

As we only offer weddings here at Cote How, you can be assured that every wedding enjoys fully exclusive use regardless of size. We specialise in smaller more intimate weddings as we feel that these lend themselves to a more relaxed experience and are akin to the space and feel of this ancient settlement, which we call home.
We treat each wedding as if it were our own and are constantly honing our ideas to create the best possible offer. We are renowned for going that extra mile - We create, then deliver everything we have promised personally and to do this we meticulously plan, communicate and develop ideas alongside you. On the day itself we are here, onsite, guiding you both and ensuring everything goes to plan. With our invaluable experience, we pre-empt your needs throughout your wedding. Our continual behind the scenes management ensures that you can relax, leaving us to worry about the detail!
