We have another Kelsick Assembly that we want to shout about 🙌

This time we have record-breaking adventurer, ultra-endurance athlete, author and charity founder Alex Staniforth donning the stage on 4th July. At just 28 Alex survived the two biggest disasters in Mount Everest history as a teenager. However, his biggest challenges have been closer to home: with mental ill health, epilepsy, stammering and bullying since school.

Alex will be sharing his film 'Head Above Water' and talking to us about how the Lake District environment continues to inspire new challenges, and help him navigate the challenges within. Also included in the ticket price is a scrummy supper in Force Cafe Ambleside.

Amy’s visit comes hot on the heels of her photography-based book ‘Forty Farms’, which aims to highlight the work carried out by farmers across Cumbria. Amy’s talk ‘Forty Farms – Behind the Scenes’ provides a unique insight into how she produced the book and created some of the images, together with some hilarious anecdotes from the journey.

Race Night at Force Cafe Ambleside on Friday 8th March promises to be a great night of entertainment, good food and company and importantly raise valuable funds to allow an even better experience for this year’s Children's Holiday.

Impact have been providing holidays for socially disadvantaged Cumbrian children for 23 years, known as the annual Children’s Holiday. The holiday is renowned as a life changing experience that provides a fun time away for these very deserving children. For the past 3 years we have partnered with Family Action who nominate the families who are most in need.

Tickets cost £20 and include dinner and a welcome drink. As well as the race fun, we will be selling raffle tickets on the night and there will be the option to purchase a homemade dessert donated by our Impact Aid Friendly Bakers. The bar will be open for drinks during the evening.
