Vacani School of Dance Children and adult dance classes in Ballet, Modern, Boys Street Dance and Seated exercise An experienced pianist accompanies all classes.

Your child will benefit from improved concentration and confidence, posture and poise, flexibility and fitness, as well as making new friends and discovering the joy of movement. We help each pupil gain as much benefit and enjoyment as possible from the classes. Pupils are given individual help and encouragement to develop imagination, self-confidence and da

nce quality as well as technique and musicality. We offer pupils the opportunity to come once a week to gain a love of dance, as well as the opportunity to take ‘Cecchetti’ ballet exams through the I.S.T.D. examining board, and take part in auditions. We have had success with pupils at our London branches being accepted for the ‘Cecchetti Associates’, The ‘Royal Ballet Associates’, ‘London Children’s Ballet’ and ‘The English Youth Ballet’. We have also entered pupils for the ‘Cecchetti Mabel Ryan Awards’, ‘The Southern Area Awards’ and the ‘Cecchetti Choreographic Competition’.

TBT - remembering our wonderful performance at Sylvia Young Theatre School in December. We had a lovely Debussy piece played on the flute by one of our ex- students who is also our cover teacher for ballet classes, while two our year 8 students improvised to his music. Very beautiful and a wonderful opportunity for the dancers too. 💖

Very proud that all three of our ballet students who recently auditioned, have been offered a place at the prestigious Cecchetti Associates which takes place at The Rambert School of Ballet and Contemporary.

We will now have 8 Cecchetti Associates in 2025. Very proud of them all and their hard work. 💖

On Friday evening, I attended the British Film festival to watch ‘And, Then, They’, at the London International Animation Film Festival. This was a collaboration .official did with about about 18months ago with our Vacani Contemporary Dancers, and our Creative Connections groups. It was a wonderful evening and lovely to see the film on the big screen!

Our Creative Connections dance classes are fun, creative and social. New participants are always welcome 😊

Classes take place in:
🌟 Ampthill (Mondays)
🌟 Leighton Buzzard (Fridays)
🌟 Silsoe (Fridays)

Classes in Ampthill and Leighton Buzzard are specially designed for people living with Parkinson’s disease or other neurological conditions. Led by Kezia Jolly of Vacani School of Dance, these classes are a mixture of chair based, standing and travelling exercises, incorporating basic dance moves and choreography.

The Silsoe session is run in collaboration with MacIntyre

Creative Connections classes take place thanks to funding from The National Lottery Community Fund and a grant from Ampthill Town Council towards the Ampthill class.

Kezia trained with David Leventhal at De Montfort University in 2016 to be able to facilitate classes for people with Parkinson’s disease, since then she has worked with Parkinson's UK and @carersinbeds and now collaborates with BEEE Creative to run session for people with Parkinson’s, MS, Dementia, arthritis or poor mobility.
