We are looking for a Treasurer to join our committee!

This would be a voluntary role and would require a few hours each month, and we are looking for a new treasurer to start as soon as possible.

Experience or knowledge is preferable but a full handover would take place with our current treasurer to ensure a smooth transition into the role.

Duties would include:
- undertaking book keeping duties and ensuring that accurate records are maintained
- acting as one of our authorised signatories on behalf of the committee
- provide monthly updates on finances to the committee
- provide an annual financial statement for the AGM

If you are interested please give us a message or email us at [email protected]

IMPORTANT POWER CUT INFORMATION AT 5.19pm on the 20th of October 2024. Your power cut was caused by an overhead fault in the vicinity of Newpark Soule. As this was an emergency, we could not notify you in advance. This power cut affected customers over a widespread area. Whilst most customers could be restored by remote switching on the network quicker than first anticipated, remaining properties were restored by making network changes at 4.45pm. For safety reasons our system is designed to shut down if a fault occurs and today the system worked as expected. We apologise for any inconvenience caused. If your power is not back on, please follow the advice at this link (https://bit.ly/38zvSnV) to check your trip switches before calling us on 105.

SP Energy Networks own and operate the electricity transmission and distribution network in the south of Scotland and the distribution network in Cheshire, Merseyside and North Wales.

Unfortunately Sunday’s Cream Tea in the Village Hall has had to be cancelled.

A huge thank you to everyone who has offered up home baking and we apologies for the inconvenience.

The Tattie weigh in will still take place at 11am on Sunday, so fingers crossed for some dry weather before then! ☔️

Please remember to bring a carrier bag so that you can take your potatoes away with you and if possible try to keep them dry! 🥔

Thank you. 🙂
