FOUND *** Morning, apologies I was trying to update the post about Barney and deleted by accident so please tag anyone who was planning on searching today.
The best news - Barney has been found 😊😊 Thank you all, this wee man doesn’t know how lucky he is to have everyone care for him so much 😅. It’s been emotional! Thanks to every single person who searched, left food, got in touch with sightings etc and Lost Paws 🐾 cannot believe the hours these guys put in on a voluntary basis x
Video warning: High pitched tones 😆

🚨🚨 UPDATE - HOME SAFE 🚨🚨

02/07/2022 - 12:20am

Barney has been spotted a few times tonight around the Sheepwalk/Glenavy road. Barney is extremely scared and will not come to anyone but his owner so please do not attempt to chase/engage. His owner can be reached on 07578521679 from around 5am if you spot him.

I would like to reiterate that Barney does not want to interact with any livestock he is not interested in sheep or cattle and just wants to get away and find himself a quiet field to rest in. You can help get Barney home by following the above advice. Please do not go rummaging around on peoples land without permission.

Let today be the day ❤️

It was great to see many of our usual suspects line up for the annual Hazelbank Christmas Run. It’s like a reunion of old friends with a love a running, dressing up and Christmas spirit in common.
That Christmas spirit for one or two bleary eyed runners, might have been more in relation to the partying they’d just finished a few hours before the race! You know who you are 😉
It was also great to see some new runners join us in our festivities, we hope you enjoyed the event.
Initial worries about low temperatures and potential ice, were soon alleviated. The prettiest sunrise even made us wee route organisers stop for a second and appreciate that this beauty spot is right on our doorstep.
Full results were posted in the FB event yesterday. Photos have now been uploaded, check out our albums.
5 Mile Run
Andrew Neil was first across the line and finished in a time of 30.54
David Cushley came in second place in a time of 31.15
Damian McElholm was third home for the men and finished in 33.38
For the ladies, Ruth Hollywood took first place in a time of 37.10
Aine Woodman was second and finished in 38.27
Nicola Gibson took the third podium spot for the females and finished in a time of 40.08
1 Mile Run
Again, for the fun run it was many of the usual faces. Some of these kids have been doing our events for years and it is endearing to see them growing up.
First Boy across the line in the 1 Mile run, was Sean O’Neil
Second boy was Reuben Ferris
And Ryan O’Neil took third.
For the girls, Sinead O’Hare lead the way and came home first, still smiling.
Newcomer Maya Gordon took second place.
Third for the girls this year was Jessie Smith.
Well done to all of you!
It was great to see all your smiling faces and Christmas attire.
Big thank you to the course marshals for all their help.
Have a great Christmas and keep on running.
