This is the page for North Westmorland Arts who have been staging concerts of classical jazz and folk music for over 50 years. All our concerts take place in Appleby's Public Hall, a remarkable venue that hides its light under a bushel. Originally built to an "off-the-shelf" design for a concert venue in the early 20th C, its barrelled ceiling no doubt contributes to the superb acoustics

within. Many musicians have commented over the years as to what a treat it is to play in. From outside though, you have to look very carefully to spot its arcade entrance flanked by shops near the Tourist Information office in the old Westmorland County town.
