Prior and since its formation in 2007, MUSIC have delivered various training events such as music tuition, IT, First Aid, Food Hygiene and Good Relations, etc to its members and their wider families of all genders and age groups. RENOVATION OF HALL

MUSIC were pleased to have been awarded an Awards For All (NI) grant through the National Lottery to carry out further renovation at Mullintur Orange Hall. This renovation involved dry lining of all interior walls which have notoriously suffered from constant rising damp.

The 1st stage of the project started on 5th May after all pictures and notice boards had been removed from the existing walls and placed in storage.

Appointed contractors then relined all interior walls with special damp-proof boarding which was then sealed and re-skimmed with relevant plaster. The outcome has made significant improvements to the interior walls (see attached pictures).

When dry, the 2nd phase of the project will begin in mid July when the entire interior, including the newly re-lined walls, of the hall will be repainted.

The last phase, and 3rd phase, planned in late September, will entail the hosting of a celebration event to mark the re-opening of the hall, show case the efforts of MUSIC, and also grateful acknowledge the Lottery funds awarded.
